Draft Scouting Report
Quinshon Judkins is a thickly built running back with a feature-back frame, looking every bit the part of a modern NFL ball-carrier. His blend of explosiveness and NFL-caliber footwork is impressive, especially considering his stocky frame. While his vision isn't a standout trait on film, his contact balance certainly is -- though that may not be as dominant at the next level. He plays with deceptive power, rarely going down on first contact and almost always falling forward. He understands how to lower his pad level to bounce off tacklers, and his film is littered with highlight-reel truck sticks.
As a mover, Judkins isn't a big lateral-juke type but instead thrives on efficient stop-start ability and sharp diagonal cuts. He often stays frontside on stretch runs but shows noticeable burst when cutting back, with great acceleration at the second level. His speed is good, bordering on great, but he won’t be a frequent home-run hitter in the NFL.
In the passing game, he’s a solid receiver out of the backfield, though it's not a defining part of his skill set. He provides about what’s expected from a feature back in that regard. Given his younger age, he offers a high floor with reasonable upside as he continues to refine his game at the next level.
- Eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing in each of the past three seasons (two at Ole Miss and one at Ohio State)
- 2022 (at Ole Miss): SEC Freshman of the Year and first-team All-SEC after setting school records for rushing yards (1,567) and rushing touchdowns (16)
- Awesome size + burst combination
- Can hit the home run on occasion
- Runs with low pad level when needed
- Misses some running lanes inside at times
- Sometimes seeks out contact instead of avoiding it
- Not a big lateral jump cut type
- 40-yard dash: 4.48 seconds
- Vertical jump: 38.5 inches
- Broad jump: 11 feet, 0 inches
