Zach Pascal ARI WR
Giants' Zach Pascal: Moving to NFC East
45m agoPascal and the Giants have agreed upon a one-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
With New York, Pascal will get to reunite with wide-receivers coach Mike Groh, who was on the Colts' staff during Pascal's final two seasons in Indianapolis. The veteran wideout has seen his role shift in recent campaigns, as Pascal logged more snaps on special teams than on offense each of the past two years while with Arizona -- in fact, he played in all 17 of the Cardinals' contests last season but didn't see a target in the passing game. Pascal could fill a similar role with the Giants, though he should at least get a chance to compete for a depth receiver role during training camp.

Jerome Baker TEN ILB
Browns' Jerome Baker: Lands deal with hometown team
17h agoBaker and the Browns have agreed to terms on a contract, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Baker is no stranger to Ohio, as he was born in Cleveland and played college football at Ohio State. The 28-year-old had a tumultuous 2024 season, as he began the year in Seattle before being traded to Tennessee in October and finished with a career-low total of 61 tackles (including 2.0 sacks) over 10 regular-season games. Baker gives the Browns some much-needed depth at linebacker with the NFL future of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah uncertain due to a neck injury that caused him to sit out Cleveland's final nine games last year.

Jameis Winston CLE QB
Giants' Jameis Winston: Joining G-Men
18h agoWinston and the Giants are finalizing a two-year, $8 million contract, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Per Schultz, the contract could be worth up to $16 million with incentives. Winston stepped into a starting role for the Browns last season after Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles, and he finished the campaign with 2,121 passing yards on a 61 percent completion rate and a 13:12 TD:INT over 12 contests while adding 83 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. For the time being, Winston looks to be in line for a starting role with New York, though the team could still pursue another quarterback in free agency or the draft given Tommy DeVito is the only other QB currently under contract. If Winston does land the starting role, he'll have one of the league's most talented young wideouts in Malik Nabers to throw the ball to, though turnovers have frequently been a flaw in Winston's game as evidenced by his 154:111 TD:INT over 105 regular-season contests. Winston missed the end of the 2024 regular season with a right shoulder injury, but that no longer seems to be a concern considering the Giants' willingness to hand him a potentially central role from the outset of the 2025 campaign.

Tyler Conklin NYJ TE
Chargers' Tyler Conklin: Lands with Bolts
21h agoConklin agreed to terms Friday on a one-year contract with the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Conklin joins Will Dissly atop Los Angeles' tight-end depth chart, after both players logged similarly productive 2024 campaigns. Dissly (50-481-2) suited up for 15 regular-season games with the Chargers last year, while Conklin (51-449-4) played all 17 regular-season contests with the Jets. Both tight ends boast enough versatility to contribute as solid blockers and pass catchers. That overlap could cause their individual production to decline from a fantasy perspective, but it's a plus for Justin Herbert and offensive coordinator Greg Roman.
-
Curtis Jacobs 2005 LB
Curtis Jacobs: Let go by New England
22h agoThe Patriots waived Jacobs (concussion) on Friday.
Jacobs was claimed off waivers by New England last August, and he suited up for nine regular-season games with the team in 2024. The 23-year-old linebacker mostly contributed on special teams until a concussion forced him to shift to IR. Now healthy, Jacobs will search for a chance to prove himself in a depth capacity with a new squad.

River Cracraft SEA WR
Seahawks' River Cracraft: Signs with Seattle
22h agoThe Seahawks signed Cracraft to a contract Friday.
Cracraft joins Seattle's wide-receiver corps after spending the last three seasons in Miami, in which span he never managed to pile up 150 receiving yards in a single year. He'll work to establish himself in a depth role with his new team, where plenty of offensive snaps figure to be up for grabs with Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling having replaced DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
-
Kyle Harrison SF SP
Giants' Kyle Harrison: Loses out on rotation spot
6m agoThe Giants optioned Harrison to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Harrison was among four players vying for the final spot in the big-league rotation, but he didn't do much in the Cactus League to help his case, finishing with eight earned runs allowed in just 6.2 innings. He'll be joined in Sacramento's rotation by Keaton Winn, leaving Hayden Birdsong and Landen Roupp as the remaining options for San Francisco.
-
Jose Berrios TOR SP
Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Sharp in final tune-up
6m agoBerrios gave up one run on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies. He struck out five.
A Kyle Schwarber solo shot in the fifth inning was the only real blemish on the right-hander's line. Berrios built up to 84 pitches (53 strikes), and he wraps up his spring with a 2.18 ERA and 18:5 K:BB over 20.2 innings. His next trip to the mound will come Opening Day against the Orioles.
-
George Springer TOR RF
Blue Jays' George Springer: Pops first spring homer
8m agoSpringer went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
The veteran outfielder finally connected on his first long ball of the spring when he drove a Jose Ruiz offering over the center-field fence in the third inning. Springer is still batting just .114 (4-for-35) through 14 Grapefruit League appearances, but he has an 8:9 BB:K and might finally be getting his timing down with Opening Day less than a week away. He's set for an everyday role in an outfield corner, and it's unlikely he'll shift back to center field to help cover for the early-season absence of Daulton Varsho (shoulder).
-
Yusei Kikuchi LAA SP
Angels' Yusei Kikuchi: Concludes spring with five frames
9m agoKikuchi tossed five innings against Colorado in a Cactus League contest Friday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters.
Kikuchi finished the exhibition slate in good form, and he was able to work up to 88 pitches. The southpaw got 13 whiffs among those offerings, including seven with his slider. Of note, Kikuchi threw only two sweepers Friday -- he's been tinkering with the pitch this spring as a potential addition to his arsenal. The veteran hurler's next time on the mound is slated to come on Opening Day against the White Sox.

Derek Law WAS RP
Nationals' Derek Law: Won't be ready for Opening Day
10m agoLaw said Saturday that he doesn't believe he'll be ready for the start of the season, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.
Law has been brought along slowly this spring, as lingering issues from an elbow injury he suffered late last season have followed him into camp. The Nats still haven't decided whether to put him on the injured list, though that seems like the most likely outcome at this point. Once healthy, the 34-year-old righty will likely be used often out of the bullpen, as he's expressed interest in breaking the franchise record for most innings pitched by a reliever (93).
-
Myles Straw TOR CF
Blue Jays' Myles Straw: Might win roster spot
16m agoStraw is in the running for a spot on the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster with Daulton Varsho (shoulder) set to begin the season on the injured list, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The 30-year-old outfielder was dealt to Toronto in January in a salary dump by Cleveland, but Straw might end up making a contribution with his new club. He's batting a blistering .414 (12-for-29) this spring with a 2:5 BB:K while playing his usual strong defense in center field, putting him in the running to help cover for Varsho for the first couple weeks of the season. Both of his primary competitors, Nathan Lukes and prospect Alan Roden, hit from the left side of the plate, so Straw would be a fit alongside either of them if the team elects to use a platoon to replace Varsho.

Marcus Smart WAS PG
Wizards' Marcus Smart: Set to play Saturday
5m agoSmart (finger) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's game versus the Knicks.
Smart will return to action Saturday after missing the first leg of Washington's back-to-back due to a finger issue. The 21-year-old guard is averaging 9.8 points, 3.0 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 19.2 minutes across 10 appearances for the Wizards.
-
Khris Middleton WAS SF
Wizards' Khris Middleton: Won't play Saturday
17m agoMiddleton (ankle) is out for Saturday's game versus the Knicks.
Middleton will sit out the second leg of Washington's back-to-back Saturday due to bilateral ankle injury management. Colby Jones and Corey Kispert are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Middleton's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Toronto.
-
Jeremy Sochan SA SF
Spurs' Jeremy Sochan: Comes close to double-double
19m agoSochan accumulated 23 points (11-17 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and two assists over 35 minutes during Friday's 128-120 victory over Philadelphia.
Sochan had scored 10 points in his return to the first unit on Wednesday against the Knicks, and he upped that stat line with an even better outing in this one. The forward finished just one board shy of a double-double, and he also reached the 20-point mark for the first time since posting a 21-point effort against the Knicks back on Dec. 25. Sochan is averaging 13.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 0.9 steals per game when deployed in a starting role this season.
-
Devin Vassell SA SG
Spurs' Devin Vassell: Solid two-way play Friday
24m agoVassell ended with 20 points (7-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and three steals across 37 minutes during Friday's 128-120 victory over the 76ers.
Vassell filled the stat sheet admirably and made his presence felt on both ends of the court, but the most important outcome for fantasy managers was the fact that he reached the 20-point mark after two games where he didn't do so. Vassell is averaging a solid line of 18.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per game since the beginning of March.
-
Stephon Castle SA PG
Spurs' Stephon Castle: Elite passing display Friday
26m agoCastle ended Friday's 128-120 victory over Philadelphia with 17 points (6-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, 14 assists, one block and three steals in 35 minutes.
Castle didn't reach the 20-point mark for the fourth time across his last five games, but the rookie out of Arizona thrived as a playmaker and finished with a career-high mark in the assists category -- which is even more impressive considering he shares the backcourt with an all-time elite floor general in Chris Paul. Castle has been nothing short of excellent in his last five starts, averaging 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.2 steals across 31.0 minutes per game.
-
Guerschon Yabusele PHI PF
76ers' Guerschon Yabusele: Stuffs stat sheet Friday
27m agoYabusele notched 23 points (11-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal across 38 minutes during Friday's 128-120 loss to the Spurs.
Yabusele finished just one rebound shy of a double-double, and the Frenchman continues to show he can impact the game on both ends of the court when given enough minutes. The season-ending injury of Joel Embiid (knee) has allowed Yabusele to hold on to a steady role in the rotation, and he's been making the most of it. He's started in his last nine appearances, averaging a solid line of 10.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.8 steals across 29.4 minutes per game over that span.
-
Jonas Brodin MIN D
Wild's Jonas Brodin: Returning Saturday
5m agoBrodin (lower body) is set to return to the lineup Saturday against the Sabres, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Brodin will return to the lineup after missing Minnesota's last nine games with the injury. The 31-year-old blueliner has four goals, 14 points and a plus-10 rating in 38 games this season.
-
Marco Rossi MIN C
Wild's Marco Rossi: Ready to rock
6m agoRossi (lower body) will play against Buffalo on Saturday, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Rossi won't miss any additional action after leaving Wednesday's 4-0 win over Seattle early. He has amassed 21 goals, 53 points and 115 shots on net in 69 appearances this season.
-
Marcus Johansson MIN LW
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Good to go Saturday
6m agoJohansson (illness) will play Saturday against the Sabres, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Johansson will reassume his top-six role after missing Minnesota's last game Wednesday with an illness. The veteran forward has seven goals, including two in his last three games, and 25 points through 59 games this season.
-
Zach Benson BUF LW
Sabres' Zach Benson: Good to go Saturday
10m agoBenson (illness) will play Saturday against Minnesota, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Benson will be back in the lineup after he was sidelined in Buffalo's last game Thursday. The 19-year-old winger has 10 goals and 23 points in 60 games this season.
-
Jiri Kulich BUF C
Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Still sidelined
11m agoKulich (concussion) will not play Saturday against the Wild, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
It'll be the third game Kulich has missed since suffering a concussion last weekend. The 20-year-old center has 12 goals and 19 points this season.
-
Josh Norris BUF C
Sabres' Josh Norris: Not playing Saturday
14m agoNorris (undisclosed) won't be an option for Saturday's matchup against Minnesota, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Norris will miss his fourth straight game, and it's unlikely he will be ready for Sunday's contest against Winnipeg because he hasn't been practicing. He has produced 21 goals and 35 points in 56 appearances this season between Buffalo and Ottawa.
