  • Nick Scott SS | CAR

Panthers' Nick Scott: Returning to Carolina

Scott and the Panthers have agreed upon a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Scott struggled in his first season with Carolina after signing a one-year deal last March, logging 30 tackles -- his fewest since 2020 -- and two defensed passes over 10 games. Part of the reason for his reduced numbers was injuries, as the Penn State product dealt with multiple issues that collectively caused him to miss seven games. Scott made four starts early in the campaign for the Panthers last year, but he finished the campaign playing exclusively on special teams. With Carolina's signing of Tre'von Moehrig in early March, Scott figures to serve as depth at safety this season while reprising his role as a core special-teamer.

  • Zach Pascal WR | ARI

Giants' Zach Pascal: Moving to NFC East

Pascal and the Giants have agreed upon a one-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

With New York, Pascal will get to reunite with wide receivers coach Mike Groh, who was on the Colts' staff during Pascal's final two seasons in Indianapolis. The veteran wideout has seen his role shift in recent campaigns, as Pascal logged more snaps on special teams than on offense each of the past two years while with Arizona -- in fact, he played in all 17 of the Cardinals' contests last season but didn't see a target in the passing game. Pascal could fill a similar role with the Giants, though he should at least get a chance to compete for a depth receiver role during training camp.

  • Jerome Baker ILB | TEN

Browns' Jerome Baker: Lands deal with hometown team

Baker and the Browns have agreed to terms on a contract, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Baker is no stranger to Ohio, as he was born in Cleveland and played college football at Ohio State. The 28-year-old had a tumultuous 2024 season, as he began the year in Seattle before being traded to Tennessee in October and finished with a career-low total of 61 tackles (including 2.0 sacks) over 10 regular-season games. Baker gives the Browns some much-needed depth at linebacker with the NFL future of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah uncertain due to a neck injury that caused him to sit out Cleveland's final nine games last year.

  • Jameis Winston QB | CLE

    Giants' Jameis Winston: Joining G-Men

Winston and the Giants are finalizing a two-year, $8 million contract, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.

Per Schultz, the contract could be worth up to $16 million with incentives. Winston stepped into a starting role for the Browns last season after Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles, and he finished the campaign with 2,121 passing yards on a 61 percent completion rate and a 13:12 TD:INT over 12 contests while adding 83 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. For the time being, Winston looks to be in line for a starting role with New York, though the team could still pursue another quarterback in free agency or the draft given Tommy DeVito is the only other QB currently under contract. If Winston does land the starting role, he'll have one of the league's most talented young wideouts in Malik Nabers to throw the ball to, though turnovers have frequently been a flaw in Winston's game as evidenced by his 154:111 TD:INT over 105 regular-season contests. Winston missed the end of the 2024 regular season with a right shoulder injury, but that no longer seems to be a concern considering the Giants' willingness to hand him a potentially central role from the outset of the 2025 campaign.

  • Tyler Conklin TE | NYJ

Chargers' Tyler Conklin: Lands with Bolts

Conklin agreed to terms Friday on a one-year contract with the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Conklin joins Will Dissly atop Los Angeles' tight-end depth chart, after both players logged similarly productive 2024 campaigns. Dissly (50-481-2) suited up for 15 regular-season games with the Chargers last year, while Conklin (51-449-4) played all 17 regular-season contests with the Jets. Both tight ends boast enough versatility to contribute as solid blockers and pass catchers. That overlap could cause their individual production to decline from a fantasy perspective, but it's a plus for Justin Herbert and offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

  • Curtis Jacobs: Let go by New England

The Patriots waived Jacobs (concussion) on Friday.

Jacobs was claimed off waivers by New England last August, and he suited up for nine regular-season games with the team in 2024. The 23-year-old linebacker mostly contributed on special teams until a concussion forced him to shift to IR. Now healthy, Jacobs will search for a chance to prove himself in a depth capacity with a new squad.

  • River Cracraft WR | SEA

Seahawks' River Cracraft: Signs with Seattle

The Seahawks signed Cracraft to a contract Friday.

Cracraft joins Seattle's wide-receiver corps after spending the last three seasons in Miami, in which span he never managed to pile up 150 receiving yards in a single year. He'll work to establish himself in a depth role with his new team, where plenty of offensive snaps figure to be up for grabs with Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling having replaced DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Teven Jenkins OT | CLE

Browns' Teven Jenkins: Moving to Cleveland

The Browns and Jenkins (calf) agreed to a contract Thursday.

A 2021 second-round pick of the Bears, Jenkins started 38 of 45 appearances across the first four seasons of his career, most of them split between both guard positions. Upon joining the Browns, he likely will compete with long-time left guard Joel Bitonio for the No. 1 spot due to the latter's decreased level of play over the last two years.

  • James Pierre CB | PIT

Steelers' James Pierre: Remains in Steel City

The Steelers and Pierre agreed to a one-year contract Thursday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Pierre spent the 2024 offseason and preseason with the Commanders but didn't make the team in advance of Week 1. He eventually landed on the Steelers' practice squad in September before joining the active roster outright by the end of that month, starting two of his 16 appearances (including playoffs). Overall, the five-year pro recorded his third campaign with at least 20 tackles (23 last season, to be precise) and added three pass defenses (including one interception) and two forced fumbles. Pierre again will serve as a depth option at cornerback and as a regular on special teams in 2025.

  • Lucas Patrick OG | CIN

Bengals' Lucas Patrick: Gets one-year deal with Cincinnati

The Bengals signed Patrick (knee) to a one-year, $2.1 million contract Friday, John Sheeran of A to Z Sports reports.

Patrick started 10 of his 11 regular-season appearances with the Saints last season, working at both center and left guard. He missed the last few weeks of the regular season with New Orleans due to a knee injury but figures to be ready for the start of offseason activities with his new team.
