Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Up to 18 RBI
Perdomo went 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base, two RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 6-4 win at Miami.
After launching his third homer of the season Wednesday -- already matching his 2024 total -- Perdomo followed it up with another productive performance in Thursday's series finale. The shortstop has been one of the biggest surprises in baseball early in 2025, as he's tied for fifth in MLB with 18 RBI and has a .317/.427/.492 slash line through 84 plate appearances.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Cracks homer in win
Perdomo went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-4 win over Marlins.
After Corbin Carroll doubled home the first run of Arizona's four-run second inning, Perdomo capped it with a three-run blast deep to right field. It was the shortstop's third homer through 17 games, matching last season's total over 98 games, and he's halfway to the career-high six he hit in 2023 (144 games). Perdomo leads Arizona with 16 RBI.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Swats solo homer
Perdomo batted second and went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-0 win over Baltimore.
Perdomo capped the Diamondbacks' four-homer night with a solo shot in the bottom of the eighth inning, his second home run of the season. A recent move to the top of the order, where he's replacing Ketel Marte (hamstring), should boost Perdomo's production, but he was just 1-for-12 in the first four games following his promotion before breaking out Wednesday. The shortstop is batting .333/.389/.511 with four extra-base hits and a team-leading 13 RBI through 55 plate appearances (13 games).

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Moving up to leadoff spot
Perdomo is hitting atop Arizona's batting order for Saturday's game against the Nationals.
Arizona used either Ketel Marte (hamstring) or Corbin Carroll to bat leadoff in each of the team's first eight games, but with Marte landing on the injured list Saturday morning, Perdomo will get a chance to hit atop the order. The 25-year-old shortstop has certainly looked the part of a leadoff hitter so far this season, slashing .379/.375/.552 with a home run, 11 RBI, five runs and two stolen bases through 33 plate appearances. Carroll will bat second Saturday after hitting leadoff in half of the team's initial eight contests.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Hot start continues with grand slam
Perdomo went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in Thursday's 9-7 loss to the Yankees.
The Diamondbacks were in a 9-3 hole in the seventh inning, but Perdomo provided some life with a blast into the short porch in right field at Yankee Stadium. It was the 25-year-old switch hitter's first homer of the year as he batted out of the No. 2 spot while Ketel Marte got Thursday night off, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to have such a favorable lineup position most days. Perdomo is still off to a strong start in 2025, batting .320 with 11 RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base over 25 at-bats (seven games).

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Delivers another run
Perdomo went 0-for-2 with an RBI sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.
Perdomo saw an end to a season-opening five-game hit streak but had a run-producing sacrifice fly in the second inning. The ninth-place hitter delivered a run for fifth time in six games and ranks second on the club with seven RBI. Perdomo's line is .350/.348/.400 along with the seven RBI, two runs and a steal over 24 plate appearances.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Ignites eight-run rally
Perdomo batted second and went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.
The Diamondbacks appeared headed for a third loss in the four-game series against the Cubs, but they erupted for eight runs in the eighth inning to erase a 6-2 deficit. Perdomo started the fun with a double up the alley in right-center to plate two runs. The shortstop has hit safely in all four games to start the season and has five RBI. He normally hits down the order but was moved up to second with Corbin Carroll not in Sunday's starting lineup.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Swipes two bags
Perdomo went 1-for-1 with two walks and two stolen bases in Sunday's split-squad game against the Athletics.
Perdomo has delivered for the Diamondbacks this spring after signing a four-year contract extension. He's gone 8-for-24 (.333) with four walks, building off improving on-base skills the last two seasons following a rude introduction to major league pitching during his rookie 2022 season. Sunday's two thefts were his first of the Cactus League. While his overall fantasy profile doesn't grab one's attention, Perdomo does provide some value in steals; he swiped 16 bags in 2023 (144 games) and nine in an injury-shortened 2024 (98 games).

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Sticking in Arizona
Perdomo agreed to a four-year, $45 million contract extension with the Diamondbacks on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
The club is getting a great deal on Perdomo's services in 2025 after agreeing to a $2.55 million contract to avoid arbitration. That number will jump to $5 million in 2026, $8 million in 2027, $11 million in 2028 and $13 million in 2029, per Jon Heyman of the New York Post. The 25-year-old shortstop is coming off the best season of his young big-league career, batting .273 with three home runs, 37 RBI, nine stolen bases on 10 attempts and 61 runs scored over 98 games. Perdomo's combination of strong shortstop defense and good plate skills (11.3 percent walk rate, .349 OBP over the last two years) allows him to provide more real-life value than fantasy value.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Gets $2.55 million for 2025
Perdomo and the Diamondbacks avoided arbitration Thursday by agreeing to a one-year, $2.55 million deal, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Perdomo will be heading into his fourth season as the Diamondbacks' primary shortstop, though he may only be keeping the seat warm until top prospect Jordan Lawlar is ready for a full-time role at the MLB level. The 25-year-old Perdomo is a quality defender who hit at league-average level last season (.273/.344/.374 slash line, 101 wRC+), but he lacks power (.095 career ISO) and isn't a premium base stealer (34 stolen bases in 401 career games). He'll likely hit near the bottom of the batting order while he remains a regular in the Arizona lineup.

Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Steals base in loss
Perdomo went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Padres.
Perdomo stole second base with one out in the third inning but the Diamondbacks were unable to advance him. It was the ninth steal of the season and the first in 17 games for Perdomo. Arizona faces a must-win scenario Sunday to give it a chance at the postseason, so manager Torey Lovullo will want his best, likely including Perdomo, in the lineup.
