  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Spins complete-game shutout

Crochet (10-4) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing three hits and striking out nine batters without issuing any walks over nine scoreless innings.

Crochet fired a masterpiece, allowing just three baserunners -- all on singles. The last of Tampa Bay's knocks came in the sixth frame, and Crochet retired the final 11 batters he faced en route to his 10th victory of the campaign. The southpaw racked up 14 whiffs and nine punchouts to punctuate the brilliant performance, and he became the seventh MLB hurler to notch double-digit victories this season. Crochet's first campaign in Boston has been a rousing success so far -- he enters the All-Star break as a viable candidate for the AL Cy Young Award, posting a 2.23 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 160:34 K:BB spanning 129.1 innings (20 starts).

  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Grabs ninth win

Crochet (9-4) earned the win Sunday over the Nationals, allowing two runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

Crochet has won back-to-back starts despite allowing seven runs on 17 hits over 11 innings in that span. Still, the left-hander sports a 2.39 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP and an MLB-leading 151 strikeouts through 19 starts (120.1 innings) this season. Crochet figures to make one more start before the All-Star break -- he's tentatively lined up to face the Rays at home next week.

  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Earns eighth win

Crochet (8-4) earned the win after throwing six innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out nine, during Monday's 13-6 win over the Reds.

From a run prevention standpoint, Crochet had one of his worst outings of the season, tying a season high with five runs allowed. However, he was given a 7-0 lead before he threw his first pitch, so it proved not to matter. Even if some runs got on the board, the 26-year-old continued to befuddle batters as he struck out nine Reds to make it seven starts in a row with seven or more strikeouts. The left-hander continues to be one of the best in the game retiring batters via strikeout as he's leading all of MLB with 144 on the season.

  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Strikes out 10 in no-decision

Crochet allowed three hits and three walks while striking out 10 over seven innings in a no-decision Tuesday versus the Angels.

Crochet was excellent, but the Boston offense supplied just one run of support while he was in the game. He's allowed one run or fewer in seven of his last 10 starts and in 10 of 17 starts overall. This was also his fourth double-digit strikeout game of the year. Crochet has a 2.06 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 135:31 K:BB across 109.1 innings. His next start is tentatively projected to be at home versus the Reds.

  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Fans eight in seventh win

Crochet (7-4) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits over six innings in a 3-1 victory over the Mariners. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

The southpaw recorded his 10th quality start of the season on 96 pitches (70 strikes), including 17 swinging strikes. Crochet has provided the Red Sox with at least six inning in five straight trips to the mound, a stretch in which he's delivered a 2.65 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 47:6 K:BB through 34 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week against the Angels.

  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Falls shy of shutout in no-decision

Crochet did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Yankees, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over 8.1 innings.

Crochet was two outs away from a potential complete-game shutout before surrendering a solo home run to Aaron Judge. Despite the late blemish, he generated 15 whiffs on 107 pitches in the longest start of his young career. The southpaw currently leads the majors with 96.1 innings and 117 strikeouts while sporting a 2.24 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. He's slated to face the Mariners on the road next week.

  • Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Nabs win in uneven performance

Crochet (6-4) earned the win against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over six innings.

The five earned runs were a season-worst mark for Crochet, but he still managed to walk away with a victory thanks to a potent Boston offense. Much of the damage against the southpaw was inflicted by Austin Wells, who tagged Crochet for a three-run homer in the second inning and a run-scoring double in the fourth. Despite the damage to his ERA, Crochet impressed by inducing 15 whiffs and racking up nine punchouts, including three strikeouts of Aaron Judge. Crochet has fanned 32 batters across his past three starts and leads the majors with 110 punchouts on the season.
