    Luzardo (3-0) earned the win in Saturday's game against the Cubs. He allowed two runs (none earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out five in six innings.

    Luzardo gave up two runs on a Seiya Suzuki single in the fifth inning, but neither of them were earned due to a fielding error by Trea Turner. Luzardo allowed one baserunner or no in the other five innings he worked, generating 15 whiffs in 102 pitches (64 strikes) for his fourth quality start of the season. His 1.73 ERA and 41 strikeouts are both tied for sixth best in the National League among qualified starters. Luzardo slated to face the Diamondbacks at home next weekend.

  • Phillies' Jesus Luzardo: Strikes out seven in no-decision

    Luzardo did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 7-5 extra-inning loss to the Marlins, allowing two runs (one earned) on eight hits and no walks with seven strikeouts over seven innings.

    Luzardo was fantastic against his former team, needing just 88 pitches to complete seven frames while generating 17 swinging strikes. The southpaw has now yielded three earned runs or fewer in each of his five starts with his new club. On the season, he owns a 2.08 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB across 30.1 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Cubs next weekend.

    Luzardo did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Giants. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four across 5.1 innings.

    Coming off two consecutive quality starts, Luzardo began Tuesday's game strong and extended his scoreless innings streak to eight before giving up a two-run single to Casey Schmitt in the fourth frame. Luzardo bounced back with two punchouts in the fifth inning but was tagged for another run after he was lifted in the sixth frame. The 27-year-old southpaw ranks fourth in the majors with a 36.2 percent strikeout rate and has a 2.31 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 23.1 innings this season. Luzardo is slated to make his next start this weekend at home against the Marlins.

    After allowing one run in the first inning via a Matt Olson groundout, Luzardo hurled five scoreless innings thereafter in a tough matchup in Atlanta. Through three starts (18 innings), the hard-throwing left-hander now sports a 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 25:5 K:BB following an injury-ruined 2024 campaign.     On the heels of fanning 11 in his first start of the season, Luzardo's next act saw him spin seven brilliant innings Friday against a stacked Dodgers lineup. Luzardo kept each member of the Los Angeles lineup out of the hit column besides Teoscar Hernandez, who got two knocks in three at-bats against him. The hard-throwing left-hander is set to face another tough test in Atlanta in his next start, which projects for the middle of next week.

    Luzardo (1-0) got the win on Saturday versus the Nationals, striking out 11 batters while allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings.

    The left-hander made his Phillies' debut and was electric aside from a two-run homer off the bat of Keibert Ruiz, Luzardo struck out the side in the bottom of the fifth inning and then watched his offense erupt for five runs in the top of the sixth inning to break open a 2-2 tie, putting him in line for the win. Sitting at 95 pitches, his day was done from there. Luzardo is lined up for a tough matchup against the Dodgers next week.
