Brewers' Tobias Myers: Making season debut Thursday
The Brewers list Myers (oblique) as their probable starter for Thursday's game against the Giants in San Francisco.
Myers has yet to be activated from the 15-day injured list and won't be until Thursday, but he's on track to make his next appearance with Milwaukee after wrapping up a three-start rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville last week. He ended the assignment in style Friday, striking out five batters over five scoreless innings while permitting just two hits and one walk. Myers tossed 76 pitches in that outing, so he should be able to handle something close to a typical starter's workload in his 2025 debut with Milwaukee.

Brewers' Tobias Myers: On track for season debut next week
Myers (oblique) will make his third and likely final rehab start Friday at Triple-A Nashville, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Myers is projected to throw 65-to-70 pitches Friday and, assuming he comes out of the start with no hiccups, is expected to rejoin the Brewers' rotation next week in San Francisco. The right-hander has been working his way back from a left oblique strain, which he suffered in mid-March.

Myers (oblique) struck out one batter while allowing three earned runs on six hits and one walk over five innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Nashville.
Making the second start of his rehab assignment, Myers topped out at 94.1 miles per hour with his four-seam fastball and built up to 60 pitches (42 strikes). He'll look to push his pitch count up into the 75-to-80 range in his next outing with Nashville, which could be his last before returning from the 15-day injured list and making his season debut with the Brewers.

Per MLB.com, Myers has resumed a throwing program and completed a bullpen session earlier this week since sustaining a left oblique strain in his final Cactus League start March 15. Myers was diagnosed with a left oblique strain Monday after making an early exit from his Cactus League start Saturday, though manager Pat Murphy said the results of Myers' MRI were better than the team expected. Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Myers will begin the season on the 15-day injured list after an MRI revealed a left oblique strain, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The good news is the MRI was actually "better than we were expecting," according to Murphy, who added that Myers could rejoin the rotation before the end of April. Tyler Alexander is likely to occupy a spot in Milwaukee's rotation for as long as Myers is shelved.

Myers surrendered three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over 2.1 innings during Monday's Cactus League win over the Mariners.
This was Myers' first rough outing of spring training after hurling four scoreless innings over his first two outings. He was able to settle down after giving up an RBI single and a two-run blast to Mitch Garver in the first inning. Myers appears in line to begin the 2025 regular season at the back end of the rotation, though with Milwaukee recently adding Jose Quintana, there would be competition for the fifth starter spot once Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is cleared, which could happen at some point in April.

Myers will start a potential Game 3 of the National League Wild Card Series versus the Mets on Thursday if he's not needed in relief in Game 2, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.
