Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Scores six points in loss
Schroder had six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three steals across 27 minutes during Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
This wasn't Schroder's best game, but the Pistons continue to rely heavily on the veteran guard. Through four games, he's seen 28.0 minutes per night with 13.0 points, 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 three-pointers, but he's shooting just 37.8 percent from the field.

Pistons' Tim Hardaway: Scores 14 points in loss
Hardaway had 14 points (5-16 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 37 minutes during Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Hardaway had a chance to win this game for Detroit, but a controversial no-call on a three-pointer attempt went in New York's favor with footage showing Josh Hart making contact with the sharpshooter. Now the series will shift back to New York with the Knicks holding a 3-1 advantage. Hardaway has struggled with his shot in this series, hitting 38.0 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from beyond the arc for 14.3 points in 30.3 minutes.

Pistons' Ausar Thompson: Quiet in Game 4 loss
Thompson recorded eight points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Thompson was quiet in Game 4 and Jalen Brunson got the better of him once again. Foul trouble has been a problem for Thompson in this series, and through four games he's averaging just 20.8 minutes with 7.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals on 44.0 percent shooting.

Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Questionable for Game 5
Stewart (knee) has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Knicks.
Stewart has missed five of the last six games while dealing with inflammation in his right knee. Although the veteran big man doesn't fill up the stat sheet on a nightly basis, he does bring a different kind of physicality to the game, which would benefit Detroit in this series against New York. If he's unable to play Tuesday, the Pistons will likely continue to lean on Paul Reed to help shoulder the load in the frontcourt behind Jalen Duren.

Pistons' Tobias Harris: Near double-double in Game 4
Harris notched 18 points (6-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Harris finished Sunday's game as the Pistons' second-leading scorer and third-leading rebounder. He played a critical role in slowing down Karl-Anthony Towns, but the former had to lay off on his aggressiveness in the second half while in foul trouble. Harris is averaging 15.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks over 37.5 minutes per game this series.

Pistons' Malik Beasley: Tallies 13 points off bench
Beasley closed Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes.
Beasley came alive in the second half, scoring 11 of his 13 points over the final two quarters while connecting on three triples. He's scored in double digits in three of the four games this series, averaging 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 28.3 minutes per game, though he's shooting 35.3 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from three-point range over that span.

Pistons' Cade Cunningham: Triple-double in Game 4
Cunningham amassed 25 points (11-23 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and four blocks over 42 minutes during Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Cunningham recorded his first playoff triple-double Sunday and joined Isiah Thomas as the only players in franchise history to log a triple-double in the postseason. Cunningham scored 12 of his 25 points in the third quarter to help Detroit win the quarter, 28-14, but the franchise point guard coughed up the ball three times in the final frame and missed the go-ahead jumper with 7.1 seconds left to play. Cunningham is averaging 25.8 points, 9.0 assists, 8.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks over 41.6 minutes per game this series.

Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Ruled out Sunday
Stewart (knee) has been ruled out for Game 4 against the Knicks on Sunday.
Stewart will miss his third consecutive game due to right knee inflammation. His next chance to suit up will come in Tuesday's Game 5. Paul Reed will likely see an uptick in playing time behind Jalen Duren due to Stewart being sidelined.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Out at least another two weeks
The Pistons announced Saturday that Ivey (lower leg) has progressed in his recovery to basketball shooting and skill drills, and his status will be updated in another two weeks.
Ivey continues to progress in his recovery from a broken left fibula that has kept him sidelined since Jan. 1. However, the Pistons will likely have to advance past the Knicks in the playoffs to give Ivey a chance at suiting up before the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Iffy for Sunday
Stewart (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game 4 against the Knicks.
Stewart is in danger of missing his third straight contest Sunday due to right knee inflammation. If Stewart is ruled out yet again, Paul Reed should continue to receive backup center minutes behind Jalen Duren.

Pistons' Ronald Holland: Minimal impact in Game 3 loss
Holland totaled six points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one block in 12 minutes during Thursday's 118-116 loss to the Knicks in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Holland has struggled to make an impact against the Knicks this series, going scoreless in the first two games before finally getting on the board Thursday with six points from the free-throw line. Overall, he's averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per game through the Pistons' first three first-round matchups. Growing pains were anticipated for the 19-year-old in his rookie campaign, but the Pistons need more impact from him when he's on the court. If Holland can't elevate his play, he risks being phased out of the rotation altogether, and with the Pistons down in the series, that could mean an early end to both his postseason and the team's.

Pistons' Paul Reed: Grabs eight boards in loss
Reed posted four points (1-1 FG, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds and one block in 16 minutes during Thursday's 118-116 loss to the Knicks in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The big man tied the team-high mark in rebounds while playing double-digit minutes for the second consecutive game due to Isaiah Stewart (knee) being sidelined. Reed is averaging 5.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks across 13.5 minutes per game in two appearances during the first round.

Pistons' Malik Beasley: Shooting woes continue in loss
Beasley supplied 12 points (4-14 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 23 minutes during Thursday's 118-116 loss to New York in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Beasley struggled from the field and saw a significant dip in playing time during Game 3. The sharpshooter has totaled 21 points while shooting 26.1 percent from the field over his last two games, though he did post 20 points across 35 minutes during Game 1 of the series. He's averaging 13.7 points, 3.0 three-pointers, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 29.3 minutes per game during the first round.

Pistons' Jalen Duren: Efficient in Game 3 loss
Duren finished with 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes during Thursday's 118-116 loss to the Knicks in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Duren logged his highest-scoring outing of the series during an efficient performance Thursday. The big man has also racked up at least eight rebounds in each of his last two appearances, though he failed to record a block for the first time this series Thursday. He's averaging 11.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 blocks across 31.3 minutes per game during the first round.

Pistons' Tobias Harris: Shooting woes in Game 3 loss
Harris supplied five points (2-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Thursday's 118-116 loss to the Knicks in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Harris delivered a lackluster performance Thursday after totaling 40 points during the first two games of the first round. Detroit will need the veteran forward to step up in Game 4, as Harris and the Pistons look to even up the series in Detroit on Sunday. He's averaging 15.0 points and 8.3 rebounds across 38.3 minutes per game during the first round.
