Texans' Jamal Hill: Missing third straight game
Hill (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Kansas City.
Hill will miss a third consecutive game due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 11 against the Titans. He hasn't been cleared to practice since sustaining the injury, so it's unclear whether he'll be able to progress enough in his recovery to return in Week 15 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Texans' Jaylen Reed: Won't play vs. Kansas City
Reed (forearm) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Reed was unable to practice all week while recovering from a procedure for a broken metal plate in his forearm that he suffered during the Texans' Week 13 win over the Colts. A timeline for his return hasn't been established, but his next opportunity to play is Week 15 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Dec. 14. Reed got the start safety in Week 13 against the Colts, and in his absence, Jalen Pitre is likely to shift over to safety alongside Calen Bullock while Myles Bryant serves as the slot corner.

Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Questionable to play Kansas City
Lassiter (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Lassiter was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday due to a foot injury, but he earned the questionable tag for Week 14 after logging a limited session Friday. If Lassiter is unable to play Sunday, then Ameer Speed, Myles Bryant and Tremon Smith would be the top candidates to start at outside corner opposite Derek Stingley.

Anderson produced a DNP-LP-FP practice log during Week 14 prep and has progressed enough in his recovery from a chest injury to fade an injury tag for Sunday's contest. The third-year pass rusher has accumulated 40 tackles (25 solo), including 10.5 sacks, three pass defenses, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries through 12 regular-season games.

Texans' Woody Marks: Set to play Sunday
Marks (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Kansas City.
After Marks began the week with no activity due to an ankle injury Wednesday, coach DeMeco Ryans told Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle that the rookie fourth-round pick was among a select few DNPs that was expected to be OK for Week 14 action. Marks then progressed to a limited session Thursday and all activity Friday, thereby clearing him to play Sunday. Since the Texans' Week 6 bye, Marks has turned 110 touches into 441 yards from scrimmage and two TDs over the last seven contests, while fellow RB Nick Chubb notched 61 touches for 232 total yards and one TD during that span. As a result, Marks should retain a majority share of the backfield reps among the pair this weekend.
