Jaguars' D'Ernest Johnson: Working through hamstring injury
Johnson (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Johnson may have picked up a hamstring during practice Wednesday or Thursday. His participation in Friday's session will provide clarity on his status for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Johnson has served as the Jaguars' No. 3 running back this season behind Travis Etienne (hamstring) and Tank Bigsby (ankle).

Jaguars' Brian Thomas: Remains limited Thursday
Thomas (chest) remained limited in practice Thursday.
Thomas was also limited Wednesday, so he'll presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Vikings without an injury designation. While playing through his chest issue in a Week 9 loss to the Eagles, Thomas was on the field for 91 percent of the Jaguars' snaps on offense, en route to catching two of his four targets for 22 yards. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Thomas heads into the weekend with an injury designation, but assuming his availability, a bounce-back could be in store for the 2024 first-rounder versus Minnesota, considering the steady role he maintains in his team's passing attack.

Jaguars' Mac Jones: Could be headed for Week 10 start
Jones was the first quarterback to go through drills during Thursday's practice and appears to be in line to start Sunday against the Vikings, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
Head coach Doug Pederson didn't address the Jaguars' quarterback situation Thursday, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Thursday that Lawrence is unlikely to play Week 10 while he continues to receive treatment and weighs options for addressing discomfort in his non-throwing shoulder. Lawrence was listed as a limited participant in practice Thursday for the second day in a row, and official word on his status for Sunday may not arrive until after the Jaguars' final practice of the week Friday. That being said, the fact that Jones was first in line for drills supports the notion that Lawrence won't be available Sunday, as does the Jaguars' signing of C.J. Beathard off the Dolphins' practice squad Wednesday to fortify the quarterback room. Jones has served as Lawrence's backup through the Jaguars' first nine games of 2024 and has made just two brief cameos at the tail end of blowout losses in Weeks 3 and 6, but the 26-year-old boasts 42 games of NFL starting experience from his time in New England over the first three seasons of his career.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Limited again Thursday
Davis (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Davis missed Week 9 with the shoulder injury and has logged back-to-back limited practices to begin this week. It's been a tough first season in Jacksonville for Davis, who has just 18 catches for 217 yards and two touchdowns through eight contests. He's averaging a career-low 27.1 yards per game in 2024 and now may not have Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) this week.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Still limited at practice
Bigsby (ankle) remained limited in practice Thursday.
The same goes for Travis Etienne (hamstring), with D'Ernest Johnson now on the Jaguars' Week 10 injury report after logging a limited practice Thursday. Friday's final report will reveal the game status' of the three running backs ahead of Sunday's game against the Vikings, but we'd be surprised if either Bigsby or Etienne were sidelined after playing through their respective injury issues last weekend.

Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Remains limited, unlikely for Week 10
Lawrence (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Though Lawrence was able to practice in a limited capacity for the second day in a row, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Thursday that the signal-caller is unlikely to play in Sunday's game against the Vikings while he continues to seek treatment options for ongoing discomfort in his non-throwing shoulder. Head coach Doug Pederson didn't address Lawrence's Week 10 status Thursday, but the Jaguars' signing of C.J. Beathard to the 53-man roster earlier in the week would seemingly support the notion that Lawrence isn't tracking toward playing Sunday. Mac Jones has served as the Jaguars' top backup this season and would be in line to start Sunday if Lawrence ends up sitting out.

Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Logs another limited practice
Etienne (hamstring) remained limited in practice Thursday.
The same applies to Tank Bigsby (ankle), while D'Ernest Johnson was added to the Jaguars' Week 10 injury report after logging a limited session Thursday. Added context regarding the running back trio's status for Sunday's game against the Vikings will arrive Friday, but both Etienne and Bigsby played through their respective injury issues last week, and we'd be surprised if either were unavailable this weekend.
