  • Raiders' Andrus Peat: Past ankle issue

Peat (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Peat sustained an ankle injury in the Raiders' Week 9 loss to the Bengals; however, it appears Las Vegas' Week 10 bye was enough time for the veteran offensive lineman to move past the issue. Now that Peat has returned to full health, he's expected to serve as one of the Raiders' top backup tackles.

  • Raiders' Cody Whitehair: Still nursing injury

Whitehair (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

The Raiders' top left guard still appears to be dealing with an ankle injury following the team's Week 10 bye. Whitehair could be in jeopardy of missing Las Vegas' Week 11 game against the Dolphins if he can't upgrade to at least limited participation in practice Thursday or Friday.

  • Raiders' Nate Hobbs: Misses Wednesday's practice

Hobbs (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

The Illinois product was carted to the locker room after sustaining an ankle injury in Las Vegas' Week 9 loss to Cincinnati, so it's no surprise that he's missing Wednesday's practice. If Hobbs is unable to practice in at least a limited fashion either Thursday or Friday, expect Darnay Holmes and Decamerion Richardson to see increased work with the Raiders' first-team defense in Week 11's matchup against the Dolphins.

  • Raiders' Harrison Bryant: Opens week as DNP

Bryant (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

It appears Bryant is still dealing with the ankle injury sustained in the Raiders' Week 9 loss to the Bengals, despite having a Week 10 bye. The 26-year-old tight end likely needs to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday in order to take the field in Week 11, when the Raiders face the Dolphins. If he's unable to do so, expect Justin Shorter to serve as Las Vegas' No. 2 tight end Sunday.

  • Raiders' Desmond Ridder: Will remain backup

Ridder will remain the Raiders' backup quarterback in Sunday's game against the Dolphins after head coach Antonio Pierce announced Wednesday that Gardner Minshew will retain starting duties, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Though Minshew was pulled early for performance-related reasons for the third time in seven starts in the Raiders' Week 9 loss to the Bengals, Pierce said coming out of a Week 10 bye that Minshew gives the team the best chance to win. Ridder came on in relief of Minshew versus Cincinnati and wasn't overly impressive, as he completed 11 of 16 passes for 74 yards (4.6 YPA) and a touchdown, but he also lost a fumble. While Minshew will keep the job for now, he remains a weekly candidate to be benched if he struggles to move the offense, so it may not be long before Ridder gets another opportunity.

  • Raiders' Gardner Minshew: Keeping starting job for Week 11

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said that Minshew will remain the team's starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Following the Raiders' 41-24 loss to the Bengals in Week 9, Pierce said that he would evaluate the team's quarterback situation during the Week 10 bye, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic. Pierce has ultimately decided to stick with Minshew, with Pierce telling Gutierrez that Minshew gives the team "the best opportunity to move forward, and he has every opportunity to go out there and help us get to a win." Desmond Ridder will thus remain in a backup role behind Minshew, who had opened the season as Oakland's starter before losing the job to Aidan O'Connell in Week 6 and then regaining it after O'Connell suffered a fractured thumb in a Week 7 loss to the Rams.

  • Raiders' Michael Mayer: Ready to practice again

The Raiders designated Mayer (personal) to return from the reserve/non-football illness list Tuesday.

Mayer didn't appear in any of Las Vegas' last six games while he was away from the team tending to a personal matter, but he's ready to resume practicing coming out of the Raiders' Week 10 bye. Though he's not returning from an injury, Mayer could need some time to get himself back in football shape following the lengthy layoff, so he may not be a lock to suit up in Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Whenever he's cleared for game action, Mayer will reprise his duties as the Raiders' No. 2 tight end, though that may not lead to much usage behind standout rookie Brock Bowers.
