  • Giants' Darius Slayton: Won't travel to Germany

Slayton (concussion) will not travel with the Giants to Germany and will be out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Slayton was placed in concussion protocol following Sunday's loss to the Commanders and has yet to practice this week, indicating he hasn't made significant progress in his recovery. As a result, he'll stay stateside for the Giants' Week 10 game in Germany, though he should have a better chance to return after the team's bye for a Week 12 matchup against the Buccaneers. Jalin Hyatt will have the opportunity to step up in Slayton's absence.

  • Giants' Jason Pinnock: Back on injury report Thursday

Pinnock (abdomen) was limited in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Pinnock was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and wasn't even listed on the injury report, so this is a new issue for him. He'd previously missed practice reps with a knee injury. Pinnock has started all nine games this season, logging 43 tackles (28 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and one pass breakup.

  • Giants' Graham Gano: Remains limited Thursday

Gano (right hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

In the wake of New York designating him for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Gano has put together back-to-back capped sessions as he tests out the right hamstring that he strained on the opening kickoff of a Week 2 matchup with the Commanders. If Gano isn't able to get back on the active roster for Sunday's contest against the Panthers in Germany, Jude McAtamney would be elevated from the practice squad to handle kicking duties.

  • Giants' Theo Johnson: Another limited showing

Johnson (knee/back) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Johnson is operating with a cap on his practice reps this week due to knee and back injuries. He thus has just one more chance to prove his health Friday before the Giants potentially hand him a designation ahead of Sunday's game versus the Panthers in Germany. Chris Manhertz (two targets this season) and Daniel Bellinger (three) are the other tight ends on New York's active roster.

  • Giants' Bryce Ford-Wheaton: Absent again Thursday

Ford-Wheaton (Achilles) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Ford-Wheaton was inactive for last Sunday's loss to the Commanders with the same injury, and he's now been listed as DNP in back-to-back days to start this practice week. He's played just two offensive snaps this season but is a fixture on special teams for New York.

  • Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Could replace Slayton in Germany

Hyatt is expected to serve as the Giants' No. 3 receiver in Sunday's game against the Panthers in Munich after head coach Brian Daboll said that Darius Slayton (concussion) is unlikely to make the trip to Germany, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

After sustaining a concussion in last weekend's loss to the Commanders, Slayton didn't practice in any fashion Wednesday or Thursday. The Giants' traveling party will leave for Germany later Thursday, so assuming Slayton stays behind, Hyatt would be the next man up to join Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson in three-receiver sets. The speedy Hyatt will provide the Giants with a downfield threat, but he could struggle to see enough targets to make for an appealing fantasy option in Week 10, even while he takes aim against a porous Carolina secondary.

  • Giants' Darius Slayton: Week 10 status dicey

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Slayton (concussion) won't practice Thursday and is unlikely to make the trip to Munich, Germany for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Slayton has made no noticeable progress through the protocol for head injuries after he suffered a concussion this past Sunday against the Commanders. If Slayton indeed isn't able to join his teammates, Jalin Hyatt will be the next player up at wide receiver alongside Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson.
