Titans' Chidobe Awuzie: Injury-riddled 2024 campaign
Awuzie logged 26 tackles (17 solo), four pass defenses (including one interception) and one forced fumble across eight regular-season games in 2024.
Awuzie signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Titans in March of 2024 after spending the prior three seasons with the Bengals. He suffered a groin injury in Week 3 against the Vikings, which was severe enough for him to be placed on IR in late September and didn't return until early December. Rookie fifth-round pick Jarvis Brownlee saw extended playing time at outside corner due to injuries to Awuzie and L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps), and the trio figure to compete for slotting in training camp ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Titans' Jerome Baker: Volatile 2024 campaign
Baker finished the 2024 season with 51 total tackles (34 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding two passes defensed over 10 games.
Baker signed a one-year, $7 million contract with the Seahawks in March, appearing in five games with the team before being traded to Tennessee in late October. The linebacker played in a career-low 10 games in 2024 with the Seahawks and Titans, which led to the lowest tackle output of his seven-year NFL career. Baker will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and he'll likely have plenty of teams interested in signing him.

Titans' James Williams: Increased role late in 2024
Williams tallied 26 tackles (17 solo) across 13 regular-season games in 2024.
Williams was snatched by the Titans in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 242nd overall. He earned a spot on the 53-man roster after training camp and was mostly used in a special teams role. Williams saw more work late in the 2024 campaign due to the absence of Jerome Baker, and the former logged at least six combined tackles in three of the team's final four regular season games.

Titans' Darrell Baker: Starts nine games in 2024
Baker tallied 40 tackles (32 solo) and five pass defenses over 17 regular-season games in 2024.
The Titans claimed Baker off waivers in late August after he was let go by the Colts at the end of training camp. He was mostly used on special teams over the Titans' first five games of the regular season, but he was thrust in a starting role in Week 7 due to injuries to L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) and Chidobe Awuzie. Baker is an exclusive rights free agent, which means he wouldn't be able to negotiate a contract with another team if the Titans extend a qualifying offer to the third-year corner.

Titans' Sebastian Joseph-Day: Logs 2.5 sacks in 2024
Joseph-Day played in all 17 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 44 tackles (18 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and one pass defense.
Joseph-Day signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Titans in March of 2024 after closing out the 2023 season with the 49ers. He started in 12 games in 2024 and extended his streak of registering at least 2.0 sacks to four seasons. Joseph-Day enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and he should garner interest from teams looking to add a veteran presence to its defensive line.

Titans' Luke Gifford: Starts four games due to injuries
Gifford logged 49 tackles (31 solo) and two pass defenses (including one interception) across 16 regular-season games in 2024.
Gifford was primarily used on special teams over the Titans' first 12 games of the regular season. He started at inside linebacker over his final four outings due to injuries to Jerome Baker (neck) and Kenneth Murray (hamstring), and Gifford recorded at least eight combined tackles in each of those outings. Gifford enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and will look to sign with a team that can offer him a consistent role on defense.

Titans' Cedric Gray: Limited by injury in 2024
Gray finished the 2024 season with 22 total tackles (13 solo) over seven regular-season games.
Gray was sidelined for the Titans' first 10 games of the season while nursing a nerve-related issue in his shoulder. Once active, the rookie operated primarily as a special-teams option, but he did have a massive Week 16 performance against the Colts, compiling 15 total tackles (nine solo). Gray figures to see his role on defense grow with Tennessee in 2025.

Titans' Mike Brown: Four starts in 2024
Brown registered 49 tackles (26 solo) and one pass defense over 17 regular-season games in 2024.
Brown was mostly utilized on special teams over the Titans' first seven regular-season games. He played at least 44 defensive snaps over the following four games (starting in three of them) due to Quandre Diggs suffering a season-ending foot injury in Week 9, and Brown accumulated 23 tackles (13 solo) over that span. Brown is an exclusive rights free agent, which means he won't be able to negotiate a contract with another team if the Titans extend a qualifying offer to the 25-year-old safety.

Titans' James Lynch: Solid production in 2024
Lynch finished the 2024 season with 20 total tackles (six solo), including 2.0 sacks, while also adding two passes defensed over 17 regular-season games.
Lynch signed a one-year deal with Tennessee in September, appearing in all of the team's contests while operating as a depth option at defensive end behind Sebastian Joseph-Day and Jeffery Simmons. Lynch will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and he'll likely garner plenty of interest on the open market.

Titans' Roger McCreary: Decreased production in 2024
McCreary registered 50 tackles (43 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defense over 15 regular-season games in 2024.
The 2022 second-round pick logged at least 80 combined tackles and six pass defenses in each of his first two NFL regular seasons, but McCreary wasn't able to match that production in 2024. He started in 26 regular-season games over the first two years, but he was a starter in just six games in 2024 while serving as the Titans' nickel corner while L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps), Jarvis Brownlee and Chidobe Awuzie served as the outside corners. McCreary will likely have a similar role in 2025 unless Tennessee make major changes to its personnel in the secondary.

Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Impactful rookie season
Sweat played in all 17 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 51 tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one pass defense, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Sweat's stock before the 2024 NFL Draft dropped after being arrested on a DWI charge in early April. He was scooped up by the Titans in the second round, 38th overall, and was immediately paired up with All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. Sweat played over 50 percent of the Titans' defensive snaps in all but one regular-season game, and though he only had 1.0 sacks he consistently disrupted the opposing offensive line on pass rushes. Sweat will solidify Tennessee's defensive line for years to come, and help could be on the way if the Titans elect to use the No. 1 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft to select Abdul Carter.

Titans' Daryl Worley: Headed for free agency
Worley racked up 52 tackles (28 solo), two passes defensed, including one interception, and one forced fumble across nine regular-season appearances with the Titans in 2024.
Worley emerged as an every-down contributor on defense for Tennessee upon signing with the team mid-season, but he's now slated to become an unrestricted free agent in March, at the start of the new league year. The Titans could be motivated to re-sign the soon-to-be 30-year-old veteran safety, given that he's demonstrated his ability to fit into the team's defensive scheme.

Titans' Harold Landry: Wraps 2024 with 9.0 sacks
Landry tallied 71 tackles (42 solo), including 9.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season appearances with the Titans in 2024. He also had four passes defensed.
Landry has now logged three consecutive years without missing a regular-season game, with a minimum of 70 tackles and 9.0 sacks in each campaign. He remains under contract for two seasons, though the Titans will have a potential 'out' for $13.1 million in dead cap to evaluate this offseason.

Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Earns starting gig as rookie
Brownlee made 75 tackles (46 solo) across 17 regular-season games with the Titans in 2024. He also had nine passes defensed, including one interception, plus one fumble recovery.
Brownlee claimed essentially an every-down role in the slot from Week 6 on, after the Titans' bye. The 2024 fifth-round pick isn't necessarily guaranteed to reprise a starting role during the 2025 campaign if Tennessee adds at the position, but he enters the offseason with an opportunity to solidify his standing.
