Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Absence likely to be short
Jarvis (eye) is not expected to be out for a long period of time after exiting Friday's game versus the Canucks, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site
Head coach Rod Brind'Amour confirmed that Jarvis took a stick near his eye, but it sounds like the forward avoided significant damage. The 23-year-old's status for Saturday versus the Oilers was not revealed, but even if he misses that game, it sounds like he'll be back in fairly short order.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Exits after high stick to face
Jarvis (upper body) won't return to Friday's game versus the Canucks.
The Hurricanes officially labeled it as an upper-body injury, but it was a scary play in which Jarvis took a high stick to the face in the first period that caused his exit. It's unclear if he'll be available for Saturday's game against the Oilers. Should Jarvis miss time, Mark Jankowski would likely enter the lineup.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Extends point streak
Jarvis scored a goal and took five shots in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Maple Leafs.
Jarvis netted his 10th goal of the season with a wrister in the first period to give the Hurricanes a 2-1 lead. Jarvis has scored in three of his last four appearances, and he's currently riding a four-game point streak. This is the second time this season that he's cracked the scoresheet in at least four straight contests, as he opened the campaign with an impressive seven-game point streak.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Another empty-netter Saturday
Jarvis scored an empty-net goal and added two hits in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Sabres.
Jarvis has two goals and a helper over his last three games, but both tallies in that span have been empty-netters. He was briefly demoted to the third line, but Jarvis is back on the top line and should stay in that role a majority of the time as a key forward for the Hurricanes. He's up to nine goals, five assists, 47 shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-4 rating over 14 appearances, though fantasy managers will probably want to see him get back to the dynamic level of offense he displayed in the opening week of the campaign.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Deposits empty-netter
Jarvis scored an empty-net goal on four shots in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Rangers.
Jarvis ended a four-game slump with his empty-netter. His recent struggles may have contributed to head coach Rod Brind'Amour's decision to shuffle up his line combinations, which saw Jarvis join Jordan Staal and Jordan Martinook. The 23-year-old Jarvis plays a strong two-way game and can fit just about anywhere in the lineup. He's at eight goals, four helpers, 44 shots on net and a plus-2 rating across 12 appearances this season.

He has accounted for seven goals, 11 points, 35 shots on net, five blocked shots and six hits over 10 appearances this season.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Game-time decision
Jarvis (lower body) will be a game-time decision against Boston on Saturday, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.
Jarvis had to be helped off the ice following a shot block in the third period of Thursday's 6-2 win over the Islanders. However, he might not miss additional action. If Jarvis can't play, the Hurricanes will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen versus the Bruins on Saturday.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Could play Saturday
Head coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Jarvis (lower body) hasn't yet been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bruins, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Jarvis exited Thursday's game against the Islanders due to an apparent lower-body injury, and Brind'Amour said after the matchup that he wasn't optimistic about the 23-year-old's status. However, Jarvis' injury doesn't appear to be as significant as initially feared. Even if he's held out of Saturday's game, it doesn't appear as though he's facing a long-term absence.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Sustains injury Thursday
Jarvis suffered an apparent lower-body injury Thursday versus the Islanders, and head coach Rod Brind'Amour was not optimistic about the forward's status after the game, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
The Hurricanes have already dealt with a number of injuries this season, but losing Jarvis for any length of time would be a massive blow to the team's structure. He has produced 11 points over 10 games, including four game-winning goals, and he plays in all situations. More information on Jarvis' status should be available prior to Saturday's game in Boston, but fantasy managers should start looking for fill-in options now, as it appears he'll miss some time.

Jarvis scored a shorthanded goal on five shots and added an assist in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over the Avalanche.

The 23-year-old has netted at least one goal in five of seven games to begin the season, totaling seven goals and four helpers. He's also produced 29 shots on net, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. Jarvis will continue to play in all situations as one of the most important members of Carolina's lineup. Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Clutches up again
Jarvis scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kings.
Per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site, Jarvis is the first player in NHL history to score four game-winners within a team's first five games of the season. The 23-year-old kept the Hurricanes from a total collapse, scoring at 1:45 of overtime after the Kings erased a 3-0 deficit. Jarvis has six goals on the year, and of his four game-winners, two have come in overtime. He's added two assists, 22 shots on net and a plus-5 rating. He's a gamer, and while he's already an established 30-goal threat, he could take his offense to new levels in 2025-26.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Three-point effort in win
Jarvis scored twice on seven shots, added an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Jarvis had the Hurricanes' first two goals of the game, including a power-play tally midway through the second period that was the game-winner. He also set up Sebastian Aho's insurance tally in the third. Jarvis has had a superb start to 2025-26 with five goals, two assists, 16 shots on net and a plus-4 rating across four appearances. As long as he's on the Hurricanes' top line, he's poised for high-end scoring, and he also can chip in some physicality while seeing time in all situations.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Rips home winner in OT
Jarvis scored the overtime winner in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Flyers.
With just 17 seconds left on the clock, Jarvis rocketed a one-timer past Samuel Ersson from the faceoff dot, giving the 23-year-old winger the GWG in two straight contests to begin the season. Jarvis has three tallies in total, and after reaching the 30-goal plateau in each of the prior two campaigns, the 13th overall pick in the 2020 Draft could be ready to take his production to another level.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Pots two goals Thursday
Jarvis netted two even-strength goals on three shots and went plus-1 in Thursday's 6-3 win over New Jersey.
Jarvis helped his team avoid overtime, as he found the back of the net with under three minutes remaining in the final stanza. The right-shot winger also added an insurance tally into an empty net, which gave Carolina a 5-3 lead. Jarvis has registered 67 points in back-to-back seasons, but now that he has newcomer Nikolaj Ehlers on his line, along with Sebastian Aho, Jarvis' game could reach new heights in 2025-26.

Jarvis played with a shoulder injury during most of the season, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports Friday.
Jarvis rehabbed his shoulder last offseason and will do the same this summer, but he will not require surgery. Jarvis had 32 goals and 35 assists over 73 regular-season games. He was outstanding during the playoffs with six goals and 10 assists in 15 games, tied for eighth in NHL scoring.
