Stankoven recorded two goals and two assists over his last five games with the Stars before the trade to Carolina, and he didn't need a lot of time to make his presence felt with his new team. Stankoven was acquired by Carolina, along with two first-round picks and a pair of third-round selections from Dallas for Mikko Rantanen, Emily Kaplan of ESPN reports Friday.
