Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Torched for five goals
Swayman stopped 27 of 32 shots in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Swayman took his third straight loss and has allowed 13 goals in that span. The 26-year-old played well for the first half of the game, but the Golden Knights found some traction in the second period before pouring it on in the third. Swayman is down to 20-24-6 with a 3.04 GAA and an .896 save percentage over 50 appearances. The Bruins have a back-to-back this weekend with games against the Sharks on Saturday and the Kings on Sunday. Whoever between Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo gets the start Saturday has a good matchup, but both should probably be avoided by fantasy managers for the second half of the back-to-back.

Swayman will guard the cage on the road versus Vegas on Thursday, Jim McBride of The Globe reports.
Swayman enters this contest mired in a two-game losing streak in which he gave up eight goals on 53 shots (.849 save percentage). With a back-to-back around the corner, the 26-year-old backstop will likely split the starts against San Jose and Los Angeles on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, with Joonas Korpisalo.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Ice tilted at him all night long
Swayman made 34 saves Saturday in a 6-2 loss to Tampa Bay. The Lightning's final two goals were scored on an empty net.
Swayman had the rink tilted at him all game long -- Andrei Vasilevskiy saw just 12 shots (two goals). Swayman can't do it alone, and that's exactly what it felt like Saturday -- the Bruins didn't show up. That means Swayman could have a rough ride to the season's end, and that could negatively impact your fantasy playoff run.

Swayman got the hook in his last start after allowing four goals on 15 shots during the first period in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Ottawa. He is 20-22-6 in a lackluster performance this season, picking up four shutouts with a 2.98 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 48 appearances. The Lightning are generating 3.49 goals per game in 2024-25, second in the NHL.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets hook Thursday
Swayman stopped 11 of 15 shots before being replaced by Joonas Korpisalo to begin the second period of Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Senators.
The final two Ottawa goals against Swayman came just 22 seconds apart late in the opening frame, and while the netminder wasn't necessarily at fault for either, interim head coach Joe Sacco had seen enough. Swayman's had a rough time since the 4 Nations Face-Off, going 2-4-2 in eight starts with a 2.99 GAA and an .888 save percentage, and while Boston remains in the hunt for a wild-card spot, the team will need better play in its own end -- both in the crease and from its skaters -- if it's going to make the postseason.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Between pipes Thursday
Swayman will tend the twine on the road versus Ottawa on Thursday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.
Swayman is riding a two-game winning streak during which he has posted a .962 save percentage (51 of 53 saves), including a shutout over the Lightning. The netminder's improved form follows a six-game losing streak in which he went 0-4-2 with a 3.32 GAA. At this point, the Bruins seem content to give the bulk of the workload to Swayman, leaving Joonas Korpisalo to watch from the bench more often than not.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Hangs on for win No. 20
Swayman stopped 26 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.
The 26-year-old goalie appeared headed for another loss as the Bruins' offense sputtered through two periods, but Swayman was able to keep things close until David Pastrnak sparked a comeback with a power-play tally midway through the final frame. Swayman struggled coming out of the 4 Nations Face-Off break, going 0-3-2 in his first five starts, but he seems to have turned the corner with two straight victories, including a shutout of the Bolts on Saturday. Tuesday's win was his 20th of the season, marking the fourth straight campaign in which he's reached that plateau.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Fourth shutout of season
Swayman made 26 saves Saturday in a 4-0 win over the Lightning.
Swayman earned his first win since Feb. 4 and his fourth shutout of 2024-25. He was 0-4-2 in his previous six starts, and things won't likely get any easier for the netminder with deadline trades that took Brad Marchand, Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo to new cities. Swayman will have to stand on his head down the stretch and during the Bruins' attempt to retool the roster.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Mauled by Predators
Swayman stopped 24 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Nashville, with the Predators' final goal getting scored into an empty net.
Charlie Coyle gave Boston an early 1-0 lead, but the game mostly belonged to the visitors after that as defensive breakdowns and turnovers led to all five goals against Swayman. The 26-year-old netminder has dropped six straight decisions, going 0-4-2 with a 3.32 GAA and .880 save percentage as the Bruins threaten to fall out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

Swayman will guard the cage at home against Nashville on Tuesday, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.
Swayman is mired in a five-game losing streak in which he posted a 0-3-2 record, 2.97 GAA and .891 save percentage. The Alaskan-born netminder has certainly been let down by his offense in some of those contests -- a problem that may get worse following news of Brad Marchand's (upper body) long-term injury.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Strong performance in loss
Swayman made 21 saves on 22 shots in Sunday's 1-0 road loss to the Wild.
The lone goal Swayman allowed was in the second period after Frederick Gaudreau redirected a shot from Marcus Johansson. With the loss, Swayman holds a record of 18-20-6 with a 2.95 GAA and an .898 save percentage. The 26-year-old netminder has lost his last five appearances and has surrendered 15 goals in that span. While he will continue to see plenty of action down the stretch amid Boston's chase for an Eastern Conference playoff spot, Swayman finds himself in a tier below some of the best netminders in the league until he can find the win column consistently. His next opportunity to guard the crease will be Tuesday at home against Nashville.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Tough luck loss to Isles
Swayman made 18 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Islanders on Thursday.
Swayman wasn't perfect -- he'd like to have at least one of the goals back for the second game in a row - but the Bruins didn't score for him, either. Swayman has struggled all season long, and he has faced the ire of fans who are frustrated by his inconsistency. Swayman is 1-2-2 in his last five games with one shutout and two contests where he allowed at least four goals. He's not an automatic start right now given his struggles, but his personal brand and past reputation also make it hard to sit him.
