Oilers' Connor Brown: Hands out helper in win
Brown logged an assist and fired three shots on goal in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Kraken.
Brown set up a Jeff Skinner goal in the second period, which put the Oilers ahead 3-2. Over 11 contests in March, Brown has contributed a goal and two helpers while filling a bottom-six role. The 31-year-old winger is up to 25 points, 98 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 70 appearances. While it's a better pace than last year's 12 points in 71 regular-season games, Brown's modest offense and relatively low non-scoring production make him a poor option for most fantasy managers.

Hyman has five points over his last three games, but this was his first power-play point since Feb. 5 versus the Blackhawks. The 32-year-old winger will handle more offensive responsibilities while Connor McDavid (lower body) and Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) are out of the lineup. Hyman's game isn't solely dependent on linemates but benefits from playing alongside a shoot-first player. He gets to the front of the net and cleans up scraps efficiently. The Oilers were missing Connor McDavid (lower body) and Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed), but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins stepped up with a hat trick to lead the charge. Frederic was acquired by Edmonton from Boston on March 4, but he was injured at the time of the trade and hasn't been able to make his Oilers debut. Skinner (concussion) will be available if called upon against the Kraken at home Saturday, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch wouldn't confirm whether he was going to use Skinner or Calvin Pickard in goal Saturday, but at least Skinner is an option. Over his last 11 outings, the 26-year-old Skinner is just 3-5-0 with an .872 save percentage while Pickard is 2-0-1 in his last three. McDavid (lower body) will undergo an MRI on Friday and will be unavailable versus Seattle on Saturday, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
McDavid is riding a 13-game point streak in which he has racked up four goals and 15 assists, including six power-play points. The world-class center has already missed six games this season and will now be sidelined for a seventh.
