  • Kings' Drew Doughty: Making progress in recovery

Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period reports that Doughty (ankle) is aiming to return to action in early January as long as there are no setbacks in his recovery.

Doughty was seen leaving the arena without a walking boot after the Kings' 5-2 home win over the Senators on Saturday. It was the first time the right-shot blueliner has been seen without a walking boot since being around the team, Bernstein relays. When healthy, Doughty should retain his spot on the top pair and No. 1 power-play unit. Brandt Clarke hasn't looked out of place filling in for Doughty on the man advantage, though, which could allow the Kings to ease the latter back into his usual workload.

  • Kings' Jacob Moverare: Sent down by Los Angeles

Moverare was assigned to AHL Ontario on Monday.

Moverare has spent the last few weeks in the NHL, and he's logged 11 blocked shots and 10 hits while averaging 12:26 of ice time over seven appearances with the Kings. He was also sent down in mid-November in a paper transaction, but it's unclear whether he'll rejoin the NHL club in the coming days.

  • Kings' Andre Lee: Sent to minors

Lee was assigned to AHL Ontario on Monday.

Lee was recalled on an emergency basis Friday, and he logged two hits in 9:30 of ice time during the Kings' 2-1 win over Anaheim that night. However, he didn't appear in the second half of the back-to-back set and will now return to the minors, where he'll likely have more consistent opportunities to contribute.

  • Kings' Samuel Helenius: Heading to AHL

Helenius was assigned to AHL Ontario on Monday.

Helenius has made nine appearances for the Kings this year, logging two assists and 31 hits while averaging 8:19 of ice time. He was sent down in mid-November in what turned out to be a paper transaction, and it's possible that he also rejoins the NHL club ahead of the Kings' matchup against the Stars on Wednesday.

  • Kings' Jordan Spence: Snaps slump with helper

Spence logged an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.

Spence put an end to his 16-game point drought with a helper on Alex Laferriere's goal in the first period. The 23-year-old Spence is now at five points, 28 shots on net, 25 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 24 contests. Considering he stayed in the lineup for the entirety of his slump, it looks like Spence is a regular on the Kings' blue line now. That said, he'll need to score consistently to offer more than bottom-tier fantasy value.

  • Kings' Quinton Byfield: Collects power-play helper

Byfield notched a power-play assist, three hits and two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.

Byfield helped out on an Adrian Kempe tally late in the third period. It hasn't been a great stretch for Byfield, who has a goal and an assist over his last eight outings. The 22-year-old is sitting at 11 points, 43 shots on net, 24 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 25 appearances, well below the pace that saw him rack up 55 points in 80 regular-season outings in 2023-24. Byfield's moved around the lineup a bit this year, and the lack of a steady spot may be negatively impacting his production.

  • Kings' Adrian Kempe: Strikes on power play

Kempe scored a power-play goal on three shots, doled out four hits and blocked four shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.

Kempe scored seven times and added three assists over the last eight games of November. The 28-year-old is cruising in a top-line role this season, racking up 12 goals, 12 helpers, five power-play points, 73 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-10 rating over 25 appearances. Kempe's lack of reliance on the power play is a double-edged sword -- it shows there's a good process behind his numbers, but he isn't moving the needle quite as much in fantasy as he did in the previous couple seasons.

  • Kings' David Rittich: Claims ninth win

Rittich stopped 20 of 22 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.

Rittich made a brief relief appearance Friday versus the Ducks, stopping two shots. That didn't impact his readiness to start Saturday, and he turned in a solid effort in another light workload. He hasn't faced more than 22 shots in any of his last six starts, and this was just the second time in that span he allowed multiple goals. He's now at a 9-6-0 record with a 2.48 GAA and an .887 save percentage through 16 appearances (14 starts). Rittich's save percentage is unlikely to go up much with such low shot totals directed at him, but he can stabilize a fantasy team's GAA while offering a good chance at wins. The Kings' next game is a tough one at home versus the Stars on Wednesday.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Three-game, five-point streak

Laferriere scored a goal Saturday in a 5-2 win against the Senators.

He has two goals and three assists during his three-game point streak. Laferriere has produced 11 goals and 20 points in 25 games this season. The 23-year-old sophomore forward sits second in goals on the Kings, one behind Adrian Kempe.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Just four points in last 11 games

Fiala scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Ottawa.

The assist came on the power play. November has not been kind to Fiala. He has just four points (two goals, two assists) in his last 11 games after he put up 12 points in his first 13 contests. Fiala has put up 230 points, including 85 goals, in 233 games over the course of the last three seasons, so he's too good for this to continue much longer. You may be able to acquire him in a trade if his current manager is frustrated with Fiala's performance. And that would put his bounceback onto your roster.

  • Kings' Vladislav Gavrikov: Two apples in win

Gavrikov picked up two assists Saturday in a 5-2 win over the Senators.

He also earned two blocks and fired two shots in Saturday's contest. Gavrikov isn't typically known for offense, but he is on a near 30-point and 180-block pace this campaign. He has notched two goals and six helpers across his last 13 outings.

  • Kings' Trevor Moore: First points in five games

Moore scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-2 win against Ottawa on Saturday.

He didn't have a point in four games before missing Friday's 2-1 win over Anaheim and hadn't scored a goal since Nov. 11 against Calgary. Moore is on pace for another 50-plus point season. Most of that production will come at even strength, restricting his fantasy value. Still, he piles up shots and is a worthy play because of his first-line deployment alongside Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Brilliant season continues

Kopitar scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Ottawa on Saturday.

Kopitar can put up points in multiple ways, and he did it again Saturday. He batted the puck past Anton Forsberg with a chest-high backhand on a rebound early in the third period that stood as the game-winner. Kopitar has eight goals, 29 points, 32 shots and a plus-10 rating in 25 games. He also has 290 faceoff wins, four game-winners and 10 power-play points. The future Hall-of-Fame center is on pace for his best regular season since a 92-point effort in 2017-18.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Will miss Wednesday's game

Lewis (lower body) was seen on crutches after exiting Saturday's game versus the Senators, and he won't play Wednesday against the Stars, Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period reports.

Lewis' next appearance will be his 1,000th NHL game, but the festivities for that milestone will be on hold while he's out. There is no timeline beyond Wednesday's game for his recovery. He's played too small a role to be a fantasy factor, so managers don't need to track his recovery too closely.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Suffers lower-body injury

Lewis won't return to Saturday's game against Ottawa because of a lower-body injury.

Lewis entered Saturday's action with three goals and seven points through 24 appearances in 2024-25. If Lewis can't play in Wednesday's tilt versus Dallas, Andre Lee might draw back into the lineup.

  • Kings' Trevor Moore: Good to go

Moore (undisclosed) will play Saturday versus Ottawa, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Moore will skate on the top line after missing Friday's 2-1 win over Anaheim. He has three goals, 13 points and 52 shots on net through 23 appearances this season. Moore's return will make Andre Lee a healthy scratch versus the Senators.

  • Kings' David Rittich: Expected to start Saturday

Rittich is set to guard the home goal against Ottawa on Saturday, according to Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Rittich has an 8-6-0 record, 2.52 GAA and .886 save percentage in 15 appearances this season. He limited the competition to one goal in four of five starts from Nov. 16-27, but there was a disastrous 7-2 loss to San Jose during that stretch, where he stopped just 14 of 21 shots. The Senators rank 14th in the league with 3.18 goals per game.

  • Kings' Alex Turcotte: Slowly starting to develop

Turcotte scored Friday in a 2-1 win over Anaheim.

He scored short side off a pass from Alex Laferriere in the second period to knot the game 1-1. Turcotte is having a solid season, with two goals, six assists, 20 shots and a plus-11 rating in 19 games. He may never live up to his 5th overall draft position (2019), but Turcotte may still develop into a solid a middle-six scorer.
