Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Practices in non-contact sweater
Stone (lower body) practiced in a non-contact sweater Monday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Stone has been on injured reserve since Nov. 19, but his return to practice is encouraging, even though he was wearing a non-contact sweater. He'll presumably need to increase his workload during practice before he's in the mix to return to game action, but he appears to be trending in the right direction. Head coach Bruce Cassidy ruled Stone out for Tuesday's game against Edmonton, and while he didn't rule the 32-year-old out beyond that, Cassidy said that Stone's return timetable will depend on how quickly he progresses to full-contact work.

Golden Knights' Callahan Burke: Heading to AHL Henderson
Burke was assigned to AHL Henderson on Monday.
Burke was called up by the Golden Knights on Nov. 19 and spent nearly two weeks in the NHL. Over six appearances with Vegas, he logged a goal and three blocked shots while averaging 11:04 of ice time. He should see more consistent opportunities to contribute in the AHL but will be available to provide additional depth for the Golden Knights if they need it later this year.

Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Gets no support in loss
Samsonov allowed six goals on 28 shots in Saturday's 6-0 loss to Utah.
Samsonov didn't play well, but his teammates didn't give him any support and didn't take advantage of Jaxson Stauber's lack of NHL experience. Samsonov has allowed four or more goals five times this season. The 27-year-old netminder dropped to 5-3-1 with a 3.39 GAA and an .892 save percentage over nine contests. Adin Hill has played better of late, and while the Golden Knights have given their goalies equal shares of playing time over the last eight games, Samsonov could see his usage reduced if he can't get back on track soon.

Golden Knights' Zach Whitecloud: Won't return Saturday
Whitecloud (upper body) will miss Saturday's tilt against Utah, according to Jesse Granger of The Athletic.
Whitecloud will miss his fourth straight game. He has a goal and one assist through 21 outings in 2024-25. His next chance to play will come Tuesday versus Edmonton.

Golden Knights' Victor Olofsson: Returning Saturday
Olofsson (lower body) will be in the lineup versus Utah on Saturday.
Olofosson missed 20 games due to the injury. He'll likely return in a bottom-six role, and he could be an option for power-play time as well. The Swede had three goals on 11 shots over four games before his absence.

Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Set to start against Utah
Samsonov will protect the home goal versus Utah on Saturday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Samsonov has won his last two starts, giving up six goals on 76 shots in that span. The 27-year-old will face a Utah team that lost 4-3 in overtime to the Oilers on Friday night. Jaxson Stauber is in the other crease, so Vegas may be able to generate significant offense against an inexperienced goalie, giving Samsonov a good chance of earning a win.

Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Produces assist in win
Theodore notched an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
Theodore has five helpers and a plus-7 rating over his last five contests. He had the secondary helper on Brett Howden's game-winning tally with 4:05 left in the third period. Overall, Theodore has been a steady source of offense on the blue line, racking up a goal, 17 helpers, 47 shots, 32 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 23 appearances. He's earned seven of his assists on the power play.

Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Assists on game-winner
Karlsson logged an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
Karlsson missed Monday's game for personal reasons, but he's been back for two contests. The center's offense has quieted down recently with just two assists over his last six games. For the season, the 31-year-old is at 11 points (four goals, seven helpers), 34 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 15 appearances. Karlsson plays in all situations, including middle-six minutes at even strength as a key veteran in the Vegas lineup.

Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Dishes two helpers in win
Dorofeyev recorded two assists and three shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
Dorofeyev had been all goals in November prior to Friday, tallying six times over the first 12 contests of the month. He helped out on a pair of Ivan Barbashev goals in Friday's win. Dorofeyev has bounced around the lineup a lot, but he's consistently seen top-six minutes, which has fueled his breakout campaign. The winger is up to 12 goals, five assists, 71 shots on net and a minus-4 rating across 24 appearances. That level of offense makes him worth a look in most fantasy formats, particularly those focused on point production.

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Puts up pair of helpers
Eichel registered two assists in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
This was Eichel's third multi-point effort in the last four games, the lone exception being Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Avalanche. He has two goals and five assists in that span. The 28-year-old center has been the engine of the Golden Knights' offense with 36 points (eight goals, 28 helpers), 66 shots on net, 19 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating over 24 appearances in a top-line role this season.

Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Two-goal game Friday
Howden scored twice, added two PIM and logged two hits in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
Howden tallied the Golden Knights' first and fourth goals, with the latter being the game-winner. He has four goals over his last seven outings, but he had a five-game drought prior to this improved stretch of play. The 26-year-old has a career-best 10 tallies through 24 contests already, though he's added just one assist, 43 shots on net, 35 hits and a minus-2 rating. He's shooting 23.3 percent, so he's a candidate for regression, but the five-year contract he signed last Friday suggests he'll be a lock to stay in the lineup in the long run.

Golden Knights' Ivan Barbashev: Scores twice in win
Barbashev scored two goals in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
The Golden Knights' first line struck twice, with Barbashev playing finisher for both of those tallies. He's hot again, racking up four goals and six assists during his active five-game point streak. The winger has 12 goals, 27 points, 42 shots on net, 46 hits and a plus-14 rating through 24 appearances. Barbashev's upside remains high while playing alongside Jack Eichel.

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Fends off Jets
Hill stopped 23 of 26 shots in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
The Jets put in a good effort, but the Golden Knights got two-goal games from Brett Howden and Ivan Barbashev in the win. Hill allowed more than two goals for the first time in six outings in this contest, and he's 4-1-1 in that span. The 28-year-old is now 10-4-2 with a 2.85 GAA and an .894 save percentage across 16 starts. The Golden Knights host Utah on Saturday, which will likely be a start for Ilya Samsonov.

Golden Knights' Zach Whitecloud: Remains out Friday
Whitecloud (upper body) is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Jets, Ryan Wallis of Fox Sports Las Vegas reports.
Whitecloud will miss his third straight game, and it's unlikely he'll be ready for the second half of a back-to-back Saturday when the Golden Knights host Utah. The 28-year-old defenseman's status has not been updated since he exited last Saturday's game versus the Canadiens.

Golden Knights' Victor Olofsson: Won't return Friday
Olofsson (lower body), who returned from his conditioning loan with AHL Henderson on Friday, won't play in Friday evening's game against Winnipeg, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Olofsson is getting close to being an option for Vegas but isn't quite ready yet. He has three goals in four appearances with the Golden Knights in 2024-25. The 29-year-old didn't log a game with Henderson during his conditioning stint.

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Slated to start Friday
Hill was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports, and is expected to get the home start versus Winnipeg on Friday.
