  • Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Not ready to return

Boqvist (upper body) isn't ready to rejoin the lineup for Saturday's game against Calgary, per Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.

It will be Boqvist's fifth straight game on the shelf. He has four goals and 11 points in 30 appearances between Florida and the Islanders in 2024-25. When healthy, Boqvist might serve on the third pairing.

  • Islanders' Alexander Romanov: Back in action Saturday

Romanov (illness) will play Saturday against the Flames, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Romanov will return to action after missing the last two games. The 25-year-old blueliner has four goals and 18 points in 52 appearances this season. Due to Romanov's return, Scott Mayfield will be a healthy scratch versus Calgary.

  • Islanders' Anders Lee: Earns 500th career point

Lee logged an assist, two hits and two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.

Lee reached the 500-point mark for his career in his 827th game, all of which have been with the Islanders. The 34-year-old is up to 47 points, 190 shots on net, 105 hits and a plus-16 rating over 68 appearances this season. Lee continues to put up solid offense with a physical edge in his second-line role.

  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Two more assists Thursday

DeAngelo recorded two assists, including one on the power play, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.

This was DeAngelo's second multi-assist game in his last three outings. The 29-year-old has earned six points over his last seven contests, including a pair of power-play assists, as he continues to stay involved with the man advantage. He's now at 12 points in 21 appearances with the Islanders, one point better than the 11 he put up over 31 contests with the Hurricanes in 2023-24. DeAngelo has added 41 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating in 2024-25.

  • Islanders' Noah Dobson: Dishes two helpers

Dobson provided two assists, tallied two shots on goal and blocked six shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.

Dobson played a large role in building the Islanders' lead by assisting their second and third goals of the game. The 25-year-old blueliner is up to 24 assists, 32 points, 171 shots on net and 108 blocks in 57 appearances this season. The Islanders' top defenseman is on a three-game point streak with two goals and three helpers in that stretch. While he won't reach the 70-point mark that he achieved a season ago, Dobson still has a chance to reach the 40-point threshold for the fourth time in his past four seasons. He's currently skating on the second defensive pairing and on the top power-play unit, which should give him a plethora of opportunities to contribute down the stretch in fantasy.

  • Islanders' Simon Holmstrom: Logs power-play goal

Holmstrom scored a power-play goal and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over Montreal.

Holmstrom tallied the lone goal of the second period on a power-play feed from Noah Dobson. The 23-year-old Holmstrom is up to 17 goals, 37 points and 78 shots on net in 61 appearances this season. With Thursday's tally, Holmstrom has a goal in each of his last three games. The young winger's third season at the NHL level has been another step in the right direction in both his goal-scoring and playmaking ability. Holmstrom has solid value as a streaming option in deeper leagues if he can continue providing for the offense while on New York's top line and No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Islanders' Anthony Duclair: Nets power-play goal

Duclair scored a power-play goal on his lone shot on net in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.

Duclair opened the scoring on a power play early in the first period. The 29-year-old winger is up to seven goals, 11 points and 54 shots on net across 38 appearances this season. Thursday's twine-finder ended a five-game goal drought for Duclair, who has struggled this calendar year. Unless he can string together points in consecutive games, we might not see another late-season resurgence from Duclair as he had with Tampa Bay a season ago. However, it is encouraging to see him playing top six minutes at even strength and on New York's second power-play unit.

  • Islanders' Bo Horvat: Lights the lamp twice

Horvat scored two goals, including the game-winner, tallied five shots on net and dished out three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.

Horvat was a hero late in the game for the Islanders with a goal in both the third and extra period of Thursday's game. His goal in overtime was with just under 90 seconds left to play and was his sixth game-winning goal of the season, which tied his career best. Overall, Horvat has 23 goals, 47 points and 205 shots on net in 67 appearances in 2024-25. He's been steady on offense over the past week with four points in his last four games. With the Islanders making a push for the playoffs, Horvat should see plenty of opportunities to contribute to the offense down the stretch. He has solid value in all fantasy formats.

  • Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Sees big workload in OT win

Sorokin made 38 saves on 41 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.

Sorokin faced his second-largest volume of shots this season Thursday and was able to survive a two-goal third period from the Canadiens. Additionally, Sorokin helped fuel New York's offensive efforts with his first two assists of the campaign on both of Bo Horvat's tallies. The 29-year-old Sorokin is up to a 27-20-5 record with a 2.72 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Thursday's performance marked his third win in a row and his seventh in his last 10 games. He ranks sixth across the league in victories and has a chance to meet the 30-win mark for the second time in his five-year career. He has great value in fantasy ahead of the playoffs due to the Islanders making a late-season push for a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

  • Islanders' Gleb Veremyev: Inks entry-level deal

Veremyev agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders on Friday.

Veremyev's deal won't kick in until the 2025-26 season. In the meantime, he'll link up with AHL Bridgeport on an amateur tryout for the remainder of this season. Undrafted out of Colorado College, the 21-year-old center was limited to just nine goals and eight helpers in 37 games this year -- well off his sophomore campaign in which he tallied 28 points in 37 contests. Veremyev will likely need a year to two in the minors to develop his game before getting a shot with the Isles.

  • Islanders' Marcus Hogberg: Gets starting nod against Flames

Hogberg will be between the pipes for Saturday's home clash with Calgary, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Hogberg will be making just his second appearance in the crease for the Isles over their last 21 contests while Ilya Sorokin saw a heavy workload. In that lone outing, the 30-year-old Hogberg stopped 24 of 27 shots (.889 save percentage) in a losing effort against the Ducks on March 9. As long as New York is in the hunt for a playoff spot, fantasy players should expect to see a heavy dose of Sorokin the rest of the way -- making Hogberg a relative non-factor for the remainder of the campaign.

  • Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Remains out Thursday

Boqvist (upper body) won't play Thursday versus the Canadiens, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Boqvist was also dealing with an illness Tuesday, though it's unclear if he's recovered from it yet. In any case, he won't be in Thursday's lineup, sitting out for the fourth straight game. The 24-year-old's next chance to play is Saturday versus the Flames.

  • Islanders' Alexander Romanov: Expected to miss out again

Romanov (illness) is set to be sidelined against Montreal on Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Romanov will be shelved for his second straight game due to his lingering illness. The blueliner will have to wait at least one more game to try and break out of his seven-game pointless streak. In his stead, Adam Pelech is poised to see increased minutes on the blue line.

  • Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Starting against Montreal

Sorokin was the first goalie off during Thursday's morning skate, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against Montreal.

Sorokin has picked up wins in six of his last nine starts, going 6-2-1 with a 2.35 GAA and .923 save percentage during that time. He made a road start against the Canadiens on Dec. 3 and turned aside 25 of 27 shots (.926 save percentage) en route to an overtime loss.

  • Islanders' Hudson Fasching: Produces assist in win

Fasching logged an assist and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Penguins.

Fasching has played in 10 straight contests for the Islanders, his longest stretch in the lineup all season. The 29-year-old has earned two assists in that span while seeing bottom-six minutes. That's all of his offense through 29 outings overall, and he's added 18 shots on net, 20 hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating. Fasching's limited role and lack of scoring make him a poor option for most fantasy managers.

  • Islanders' Simon Holmstrom: Finishes off comeback win

Holmstrom scored an empty-net goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Penguins.

Holmstrom scored an empty-netter for the second game in a row, and he led all Islanders forwards with 20:38 of ice time. It's a further sign of trust from head coach Patrick Roy to have Holmstrom on the ice to protect a lead late in the game. The winger still hasn't scored on a goalie since Feb. 7 versus the Jets, but he has six points over nine outings in March. He's at a career-high 16 goals, 20 assists and 77 shots on net through 60 appearances this season.
