  • Flyers' Owen Tippett: Remains unavailable

According to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Tippett (upper body) participated in a rehab skate but won't play against Pittsburgh on Saturday.

As expected, Tippett won't play before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off and will miss his fifth straight game. He has produced 14 goals, 30 points, 128 shots on net, 46 blocked shots and 75 hits through 52 appearances this season. Once healthy, he will be in the mix for a top-line role and a spot on the first power-play unit.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Game-time decision Saturday

Ristolainen (upper body) will be a game-time decision versus Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Ristolainen could be an option, according to coach John Tortorella. He has missed two games with the injury and will have an extra two weeks off for the 4 Nations Face-Off break should he not play Saturday. Ristolainen has two goals, 13 assists, 83 hits and 85 blocked shots in 54 outings this season.

  • Flyers' Jacob Gaucher: Called up from minors

Gaucher was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday, per Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Gaucher was recalled after being sent down Friday as Jakob Pelletier has not had his visa issues resolved following his trade from Calgary on Jan. 30. Gaucher will center the fourth line versus Pittsburgh on Saturday. He is pointless in three NHL games with three shots on goal, four hits and two blocked shots.

  • Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Not available Saturday

Pelletier does not have his visa issues completed and will not be in the lineup versus Pittsburgh on Saturday, according to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Pelletier will be replaced in the lineup by Jacob Gaucher. Pelletier was dealt from Calgary on Jan . 30, where the 23-year-old had four goals and seven assists over 24 appearances. He will be ready to go Feb. 22 when the Flyers return from their two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, against Edmonton.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Tending twine Saturday

Ersson will patrol the home crease versus Pittsburgh on Saturday, according to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Ersson has looked good in his last two games despite going 0-1-1. He has allowed five goals on 74 shots (.932 save percentage) in the pair of games, giving him a 15-10-3 mark with a 2.84 GAA and an .894 save percentage. Ersson will face the Penguins, who are coming off a 3-2 win over the Rangers on Friday and have generated 2.88 goals per game, 17th in the NHL this season.

  • Flyers' Anthony Richard: Placed on waivers Friday

The Flyers put Richard on waivers Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Richard was terrific during his first stint with the Flyers this season, scoring twice while adding four assists in seven games. He was sent to AHL Lehigh Valley on Nov. 23 and returned to the NHL Jan. 22. His second round in the NHL did not go very well offensively, as he was held without a point in eight games while going minus-7. The Flyers activated Jakob Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko on Friday, necessitating the team to place Richard on waivers.

  • Flyers' Jacob Gaucher: Reassigned to AHL

Gaucher was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday.

The Flyers activated Jakob Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko after they resolved their visa issues and solved their travel plans from Calgary last week. Gaucher made his NHL debut Sunday and had three shots on goal, four hits and two blocked shots over three games with the Flyers.

  • Flyers' Andrei Kuzmenko: Ready to rock

Kuzmenko (not injury related) is in Philadelphia and is slated to join the lineup versus Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Kuzmenko was dealt to Philadelphia from Calgary on Jan. 30 and had visa issues, as well as a canceled flight from Toronto due to snow Thursday. The 29-year-old had four goals, 11 assists and 39 shots on goal across 37 appearances for the Flames prior to the trade. Look for Jacob Gaucher to return to AHL Lehigh Valley, while Rodrigo Abols could also be sent down to the minors.

  • Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Finally joins club

Pelletier has linked up with his new team ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Penguins.

Pelletier's debut with the Flyers has been delayed due to visa issues and travel delays, but the 23-year-old winger has finally arrived in Philadelphia and should be in the lineup for Saturday's contest. With Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko now in the fold, Jacob Gaucher figures to be sent back to AHL Lehigh Valley, while Rodrigo Abols could also be in line for a demotion.

  • Flyers' Emil Andrae: First point since recall

Andrae logged an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals.

The helper was Andrae's first point in three contests since he was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley. He's filling while Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) and Egor Zamula (upper body) are sidelined. Through 23 outings with the NHL club, Andrae has produced six points, 31 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 28 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-2 rating. He impressed at times during an earlier stint in the NHL but wasn't able to sustain that level of play, so his stay with the big club this time may not last very long if he starts to struggle.

  • Flyers' Travis Konecny: Adds assist in loss

Konecny notched an assist and went minus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals.

Konecny was held off the scoresheet in four straight games, though the Flyers were shut out in three of them. The 27-year-old forward has just one goal across his last 15 contests, adding 13 assists, 20 shots on net and a minus-2 rating in that span. For the season, he's been one of the Flyers' most reliable forwards, earning 21 goals, a career-high 38 assists, 125 shots on net, 71 hits, 45 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 56 appearances. He's well on his way to securing a career year and potentially his first 80-point campaign if he stays on his overall pace.

  • Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Ends slump with helper

Drysdale logged an assist and went minus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals.

Drysdale had been held off the scoresheet over his last 10 outings, going minus-5 in that span. It's not all his fault -- during his slump, the Flyers were shut out three times and scored just a total of 18 goals. Drysdale is up to 12 points, 40 shots on net, 58 blocked shots and a minus-23 rating over 44 appearances. He hasn't taken a step forward as much as expected, but he has managed to stay in the lineup regularly when healthy despite his shaky defensive play.

  • Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Goals in back-to-back games

Foerster scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 4-3 loss to Washington.

The goal snapped a Philly 0-for-10 streak with the man advantage over five games. Foerster has a goal in each of his last two games and 15 on the season. He's on pace to top his 20-goal career mark, which he set last season. But Foerster's 17.9 shooting percentage is well above his 12.0 percent from his rookie season. We don't know which rate is closer to his norm, but his current sub-40 point pace should keep him on the bench in all but the deepest of leagues.

  • Flyers' Ivan Fedotov: Still no wins since November

Fedotov made 14 saves in a 4-3 loss to the Capitals on Thursday.

Fedotov is now the 180th goalie that Alex Ovechkin has scored against. The superstar sniper scored his 879th NHL goal on a one-timer from the inside edge of the right face-off circle in the last minute of the first period. And the Caps were down 3-2 heading into the third, but Fedotov surrendered two goals, the lead and the win. He hasn't won since Nov. 29, and he's 0-4-2 in seven starts since then. You know the drill -- Fedotov should not be in your fantasy net.

  • Flyers' Matvei Michkov: Third two-goal game of season

Michkov scored two goals Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Capitals.

It was his third two-goal game of the season. Michkov is second in rookie goal scoring with 16, one behind Macklin Celebrini, and third in total points with 36. He's behind Lane Hutson (41) and Celebrini (39). The goals are Michkov's first in nine games (one assist). Like all rookies, Michkov struggles with consistency, but his future is bright as long as he can improve in his own zone. He's currently minus-15 in 54 games, which is second-worst on the Flyers.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Not playing Thursday

Ristolainen (upper body) won't play Thursday versus the Capitals, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Ristolainen will miss a second game due to the injury. He was deemed a game-time decision for Thursday, so it's possible he could be cleared to suit up Saturday against the Penguins.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Deemed game-time decision

Ristolainen (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Capitals, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

Ristolainen didn't participate in Thursday's morning skate, but head coach John Tortorella said that it's possible the 30-year-old plays against the Capitals on Thursday or Saturday against the Penguins. Over 16 appearances since the start of the calendar year, Ristolainen has recorded a goal, five assists, 28 blocked shots, 23 hits, eight PIM and a plus-4 rating while averaging 20:51 of ice time.

  • Flyers' Owen Tippett: Won't play against Washington

Tippett (upper body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Capitals, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Tippett remains day-to-day due to his upper-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for a fourth consecutive game. Tyson Foerster will likely continue to handle a more prominent role Thursday, while Tippett's next chance to suit up will be Saturday against Pittsburgh.
