Jets' Dylan Samberg: Posts assist in Saturday's win
Samberg notched an assist, three shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Avalanche.
This was Samberg's second game back from missing 21 contests due to a broken foot. The 25-year-old led the Jets with 24:47 of ice time Saturday, and he's immediately resumed a top-four role on the blue line. He's unlikely to be a significant source of offense, instead serving in more of a shutdown role. Samberg is at seven points, 30 shots on net, 35 blocked shots, 26 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-14 rating through 23 outings in 2024-25.

Jets' Alex Iafallo: Gathers helper Saturday

Iafallo helped out on Nikolaj Ehlers' empty-netter in the third period. The 31-year-old Iafallo has seen a larger role lately due to the absence of Mason Appleton (lower body), though Iafallo's 19:16 of ice time Saturday was easily a season high. He's now at three points over five contests in January and a total of 15 points, 51 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 44 appearances this season.

Morrissey left Tuesday's game versus the Predators with a lower-body injury, but he didn't miss any time. He's seen his usual heavy workload over the last two contests, so fantasy managers can assume the 29-year-old blueliner is fine. Morrissey is up to five goals, 39 points, 90 shots on net, 70 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 44 appearances.

Ehlers scored two goals, one the game-winner, in Saturday's 3-0 victory over the Avalanche.
Ehlers ripped a shot top shelf past Mackenzie Blackwood just 68 seconds into the first period, and it was all the offense Connor Hellebuyck would need. The 28-year-old winger then capped his night with an empty-netter in the third. Ehlers has three multi-point performances in the last eight games, piling up four goals and nine points over that stretch to stay on pace for the first point-per-game season of his career -- Ehlers has 14 goals and 36 points in 35 appearances so far in 2024-25.

Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Bags league-leading sixth shutout
Hellebuyck turned aside all 22 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Avalanche.
The 31-year-old continues to build his case to be the NHL's first repeat winner of the Vezina Trophy since Martin Brodeur in the mid-2000's. Hellebuyck's six shutouts lead the league, as do his 26 wins, 2.02 GAA and .928 save percentage, and he's been even better over the last month, going 8-1-1 in his last 10 outings with a 1.80 GAA and .932 save percentage.

Jets' Vladislav Namestnikov: Out Saturday
Namestnikov (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Saturday versus Colorado, per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site.
Namestnikov was hurt when he blocked a shot during Friday's 2-1 overtime loss against LA. He has nine goals and 20 points in 43 appearances in 2024-25. Dominic Toninato is expected to draw into the lineup because of Namestnikov's injury.

Namestnikov (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision versus Colorado on Saturday, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Namestnikov was injured blocking a shot Friday versus the Kings, but he managed to finish the game. Namestnikov has only one assist in his last eight games, giving the 32-year-old nine goals and 11 assists over 43 contests.

Hellebuyck will get the second half of Winnipeg's back-to-back after Eric Comrie played in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Kings. The 31-year-old Hellebuyck is coming off a 26-save performance in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Nashville. He has a 25-6-2 record with five shutouts, a 2.08 GAA and a .926 save percentage through 33 appearances this season. Colorado sits sixth in the league with 3.40 goals per game in 2024-25.

Vilardi has five goals and five assists over his last eight contests. The 25-year-old has earned six of those points with the power play and continues to be a force in that situation with a spot on the top unit. For the season, Vilardi is up to 38 points (19 on the power play), 84 shots on net, 25 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 43 appearances. He'll be taking aim at setting new career highs nearly across the board in the second half of 2024-25.

Connor has now gone five games without a multi-point effort, and this was his first power-play point in that span. The 28-year-old winger is up to 23 goals, 31 helpers, 19 power-play points, 142 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 43 appearances. Connor is as good as he's ever been while seeing steady top-line usage, so he should be able to play at or near this level over the second half of the campaign.

Jets' Eric Comrie: Loses in overtime
Comrie stopped 21 of 23 shots in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Kings.
Comrie handled the first half of a back-to-back for the first time this season, but he was unable to snap his losing streak. This was at least a good showing from the goalie, though the same can't be said for the Jets' offense, which was held in check by the Kings' firm defense. Comrie is now 3-6-1 with a 2.94 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Expect Connor Hellebuyck to start Saturday at home versus the Avalanche, and he may see steady playing time next week as well -- it's not unusual for Hellebuyck to start four or five games in a row, though Comrie has not had to wait more than 13 days between starts.

While Connor Hellebuyck normally takes the first game of a back-to-back, it seems the coaching staff wants to save him for Saturday's matchup with the division-rival Avalanche. As such, it figures to be Comrie's crease heading into Friday's contest. The 29-year-old Edmonton native is mired in a six-game losing streak during which he posted a 3.25 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Given his struggles, fantasy players probably shouldn't expect to see Comrie in the crease outside of back-to-backs.

Hellebuyck, who went through his usual starting routine, won't be in goal against the Kings on Friday, though he figures to start Saturday's matchup with Colorado instead, John Lu of TSN reports.
Hellebuyck rarely takes the second of a back-to-back, but the coaching staff must want to deploy him against Central Division rivals Colorado. Since the calendar turned to 2025, the 31-year-old backstop has been relatively inconsistent, going 1-1-1 with a 2.98 GAA in his last three appearances, compared to December when Hellebuyck went 9-2-1 with a 1.82 GAA. Still, he remains one of the top netminders in the NHL and should be in contention for the Vezina Trophy once again.
